Yup.
I thought this was interesting in the NYT article:
At least two of the people Landis implicated said they had met with investigators to tell of their past involvement with doping. They did not provide details of those meetings, but both said they were honest in responding to the investigators’ questions. Those men, long followers of cycling’s code of silence that kept doping a secret, did not want their names published for fear of retribution during racing at the Tour.
Perhaps the WSJ article will involve some more naming and shaming.

My guess is that Vaughters might feel safe enough from an Armstrong-organised revenge attack to start telling what he knows.

I'd like a good doping scandal at this years Tour, I for one do not agree that a doping catch ruins the Tour, it enhances it.

especially when it's retrospective and there is no actual doping going on during the tour. saying that a well built all rounder stomping up a cat1 climb with his eyes popping out of his head is good for a laugh.

Yes. I would hope that to be the case. He's got the credibility that Flandis doesn't.

He's written up a contract stating that ParryMan likes him, but has only offered a verbal affirmation of reciprocity, with the additional oral statement that he'll buy ParryMan a drink at some point in the future when Parryman's friendship has earnt the alcoholic beverage.

interesting reading. i guess it now all depends on the federal prosecutor, lance can't phone him late on a sunday and give him the "do you know who I am?" treatment.

"For years, sensational stories – based on the allegations of ax-grinders -- have surfaced on the eve of the Tour for publicity reasons, and this article is simply no different."
That's exactly right. I remember that spurious concoction called 'Operacion Puerto' in particular. Totally baseless. ;)

He tweeted this today:
He's ready.
(who says shit like that outside of movies?)
My friend Dan. He also talks about himself in the third person. He has a large ego

Ha. I'd always suspected that Telekom didn't dope for a while after 1998. I wonder when they re-started? Pevenage doesn't say in this article.

Oops, forgot about this. I'd say I'm inclined to believe him on that one count, but merely because I always thought that they had--but I can't actually remember why. I'm not inclined to believe him as such.
It doesn't appear to have been published. Still 3 days to go before the Tour starts before the shit hits the fan.
