And I think his behaviour (both professional and personal) suggests he has even more insecurities than Lemond.
.
how will we ever know what any celebrity or sports star is like personally? you read grazia too much. and for what it's worth kate bush is very insecure...i'm told

anyone is allowed to vent their spleen. it's his style that sets the alarm bells ringing. he rambles and is over emotional and for my money plays to the gallery far more than armstrong. that video clip above ^ is shows armstrong to be a cool calm customer and he absolutely destroys kimmage. That is an alpha male putting a little runt down without having to flex any muscle power at all. I'm only sad that armstrong decided to come out of retirement and risk ending up looking like some tired old boxer. Still he did a good job last year. Drugs or no drugs armstrong beat the competition who were all on dope.,** He was a winner and a mature decent bloke with class.** Lemond should take lessons on how to conduct himself because he's just an erratic fool in comparison.

the guy was a tough champion, a winner. two guys have a squabble and the toughest one wins out...big deal get over it. if you hate lance armstrong for stuff like that and hold it against him then i reckon professional sports is not the thing for you. I hear the needlework association in kent is all nice and polite :D

it's probably somewhere down the middle. lot of people on here get well carried away as though he was married to their sisters and the hurt is all personal. he rode a bike damned well and may or may not be a bit of a big head or a bully on the black top. I quite like jonny and bmmf's aproach to doping written about on here. it's the getting caught that blows our dreams out of the water but we do need to get over it and move on.

When they're a media whore, it's not that difficult. And there's enough anecdotal evidence from his peers/associates to get the gist.
And as if using politics/money/foul play to win the tour 7 times (plus some talent, yes) wasn't attention grabbing enough, he decides to set up a heavily branded 'cancer foundation' rather than donating wads of cash from his considerable personal wealth - secured thanks to whoring himself out to Nike and the like - to already established research/aware-raising organisations. Talk about creating the ultimate emotive smokescreen.

You frickin' leave Jamie Olive-Oil out of this. Gordon "I used to play for Rangers" Ramsey is the equivalent.....
-
• #517
Is Ramsey constantly trying to portray himself as caring and altruistic, whilst carefully increasing his profile off the back of his "perceived" charity work and stashing away the millions this profile enables him to command?

come on scarlett...if armstrong is a media whore (could well be but being in the media a lot doesn't necessarily make you a whore) then at least he's a high class hooker. lemond is defo a media whore but he's a cheap 20 squid a shot junkie bitch down whitechapel way. the bloke is an annoying basket case who needs to get his shit in order before trying to sell his 2 bob 'please listen to me, todays riders can't compare to me it's not fair no one wants to listen to me, yet i was better, racing was more exciting in my day, riders had to....blah, fucking blah' story to any local radio station. great rider though
pre - retirement. should have made that more obvious.
