It's a bit like jimmy saville...
So many knew what was going on, did nothing, said nothing, made money, sold bikes, sold dreams, offered hope, sold stories, waxed lyrical about the good stuff, but never asked the fucking big question.. and so team riders risked their lives for a career of hollow victories and tainted afterlives because of his freaky control bullying tactic shit. I hope justice is served.

Look Mum will not only be showing the interview, but they're also running a sweepstake on Lance's tears. Chuckle.

Just a word of warning: have any of you ever watched Oprah? It will be awful to watch. The advertisements will be relentless, the endless delay between questions posed and and answers given, the warming over of terrible backstory, slow-motion cuts, soft-focus fade-outs....the worst of American TV in its full glory. If they talked for 2 1/2 hours and it's aired in two segments, then I reckon we can expect (well those who watch it live and don't want to just read the full transcript later) at over 4 hours of TV. You have been warned.
TiVo + fast forward = win.
I wasn't sure I was going to bother but I can't help it. It's like a car crash..

The Discovery channel show is 90 minutes long and seems to be just one show. Sky + and fast forward for me.

Lance and Hein shared more than just doping knowledge; they had the same banker
"Verbruggen's financial ties to Armstrong's inner circle began in 1999, when Verbruggen invested with Ochowicz, the former general manager of the 7-Eleven and Motorola cycling teams"

Swill this one around your brain for a minute and you might come to the obvious conclusion that Verbruggen was an investor in Tailwind Sports in some way and then you suddenly get the "why" he and Lance were so close, why Lance was protected and then your brain does this.
And after it does this you realise the non-cycling press hadn't mentioned Weisel until 2 days ago when the testifying against UCI/USAC was first aired and then the day before the Oprah show Ochowitz drops that nugget of info, and you maybe can see what Lance's strategy is and how his team are orchestrating it.

watching and learning, indeed...
any proof that Verbruggen is tied to Tailwind?

^none whatsoever.
But if you wanted to hide an investment you could use any number of shell companies/financial instruments /offshore banks to deflect attention though links could eventually be made.

Why all the negativity about Livestrong?
Only 95% of their income went in admin and promotion. So for every $100,000,000 raised to fight cancer, Livestrong ensured that $5,000,000 got there. Who can dispute that $5,000,000 is a lot of money? I bet that neither Walsh or Kimmage have raised $5,000,000 for cancer charities.

Livestrong.org is an "cancer awareness raising" organisation, not cancer research.
I think the only clinical facility with Livestrong branding is in Australia and
they had to pay a fee to someone (no-one has been able to find out who) to use it.Livestrong didn't pay a penny towards it but it makes it looks like they did.“STATEMENT

The Flinders Medical Centre Foundation formed an association with LIVESTRONG in January 2009. The association sees a laboratory in the new Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer Centre named after LIVESTRONG. This alignment was struck between two charitable bodies that seek only to raise funds for cancer research and cancer prevention as well as to raise awareness about the needs of the 28 million people diagnosed with cancer around the world. At no time has there been any money exchanged between the parties, nor on behalf of the FMC Foundation by any other party.
LIVESTRONG’s Cancer Survivorship Program is among the best, if not the best in the world, and is benefiting cancer patients worldwide.”Lots of advertising spend particularly on Livestrong.com who is part owned by LA.
See upthread for more charitable funding being recycled to the commercial side like the jet, and the .org legal fees suddenly rocketing in any year LA had a bit of trouble.

BTW did I tell you that I am starting a charity to help fight getting old. I wont actually try to stop the passage of time but I will talk to people who are getting older, about getting older whilst we are both getting older. I will do this in the pub. With people I know.
I will not take any money from the charity but will need a new bike to get to the pub on. And a few bob for drinks.
To show support I will sell you a watch. It can be a constant remainder of the passage of time and the need to fight it. I will not be fighting it. The watch will cost £100 and be made by my corporate partner Casio. Who will sponsor my trips to the pub. This sponsorship will be in no way related to my charity.
