• Just whip your knob out like a cassette player.

My thoughts entirely. A perfect image.

  • It's actually 'LeMond'.

That I didn't know. Seems odd to drop the space but not the capital M, but I suppose you can never trust 'Merkins with spelling.

    everyday's a school day.

  • Hopefully he will then come to England to be grilled by...Graham Norton (if he isn't dead by then.

    too late i fear

  • Interview is being shown on the Discovery Channel, first airing Friday 2 am.

Not sure if real or a wind up meme

  • 'When Lance "cries" on Oprah later this week and she passes him a tissue, spare a thought for all of those genuine people who walked away with no reward – just shattered dreams. Each one of them is worth a thousand Lances.'

    Nicole Cooke

  • Pfft. I hate people who tell me what to do.

I prefer to be unwillingly manipulated by emotion.

    Come on, Lance!

  • I don't know much about pro cycling so pelase excuse this question but...

Big Mig, Le Mond & Evans...likely to have been clean?
you must be very new, Greg Lemond was known for anti-drugs stance. There is no shit on the great man. Dont you think Lancey would of nailed him. He hates Lemond, because of what Greg stands for! Clean cycling..

  • From what I've read he's not really come clean and said sorry for doping and ALL the lies, more that its the UCI's fault for letting him get away with it for so long. And that they are very bad people, and that he is good. And if you want to point the finger point it at the UCI because they are holding a big, unlicensed, smoking gun, full of drugs and lies.

  • Come on, Lance!

    Go LANCE~!

  • 'When Lance "cries" on Oprah later this week and she passes him a tissue, spare a thought for all of those genuine people who walked away with no reward – just shattered dreams. Each one of them is worth a thousand Lances.'

    Nicole Cooke

That was a great speech... she unloaded with both barrels.

  • Winfrey says Armstrong "did not come clean in the way I expected" about claims he doped during his career.

"I didn't dope during races ONLY when I was on a mashup with my mates in Austin"

  • Verbruggen... this guy is priceless. In a 30 page (!) interview in Dutch cycling mag 'De Muur', he claims to not understand 'what all the fuss is about' and still thinks he cannot be blamed for UCI failing to do the right things. Translations will come through during this day, will post when/if I find one

Very curious as to his reaction after the LA/Winfrey gig

  • I wonder if the best way of really dealing with him now is to just ignore him, by that I mean no publicity - court cases lost/won ( no coverage ), attempts to gain sympathy ( nobody wants to interview/know ), the assosciated bullshit about becoming a whistleblower and in turn getting cycling dropped from the olympics, seems to me to be media spin by LA's experts, could be done ninja style.

Take away the fuel and the assualt stops.

I dont want any of the folk who enabled or turned a blind eye to remain.

I doubt it'll happen but it would just damage his strategy and manipulation.

  • Any word from Phil Leggitt?

I'm even more curious about these sources who he could not name and men with suitcases of money now.

  • Respected cycling voice Phil Liggett has claimed he always suspected Lance Armstrong was a doper even after the shamed drug cheat swore he was clean during an intimate discussion they shared in 2003.

    http://www.sportal.com.au/other-sports-news-display/liggett-details-armstrong-doubts-217868

    Orly?

  • Well, you can immediately tell how ill-informed that journalist is when he headlines his piece "Respected cycling voice Phil Liggett " lol

  • Yeah, I enjoyed that as well.

  • After USADA followed WADA in withdrawing from co-operating with UCI Independent Commision due to terms of reference, the IC has now formally asked UCI to change it's terms of reference.

    tick tock*

    Ha!

There are a fair few riders who have never tested positive but have been unders suspicion. I'm glad to hear that Greg LeMond was never under suspicion.

Regardless of his riding achievements I'd give the man a big hug if I met him. What a dude.

  • printed on that old showbike from the frs energry drink shoot

  • It's probably been discussed to death earlier on but I received the Tyler Hamilton book as an Xmas pressie. Really shocked at how brazen LA was with his doping and the power he appeared to exert over the UCI and everyone else for that matter.

If people have not read it it's very interesting and gives a real insight to what was going on (I'd not read any other books on this subject so can't compare). Not sure how I feel about TH (as I feel a bit sorry for him and I don't think I should) but it really makes me wonder if anything much has changed in the pro peleton (I hope it has) but given the crapness of testing and the ease of avoidance it seems like it's a bit easy to get away with it.

I say give the 7 tdf victories to Christophe Bassons.

Edit - just read Nicole Cooke's take: “Tyler Hamilton will make more money from a book describing how he cheated than I will make in all my years of honest labour.”

So Nicole - just for you - I think he's a twat too, I didn't buy the book but if you write one I'll buy it as you are ace!

Also american Andy Hampsten who won the 88 Giro never tested positive, so thats 2 great cyclists that are American.

  • Whatever happens, Armstrong must never be allowed to compete in Triathlons. Because he would make millions from apperance & sponsorship money!

  • Who on earth is going to sponsor him now?

  • I heard Mooncup and Veronica Moser were looking for someone to be their new public 'visage'...
