Statute of limitations says no on perjury and insurance fraud.
Is this right? If so, what does he have to lose from fessing up?

Everything. It would open the floodgates for the civil lawsuits to start....

Has he been disowned yet?

Landis started a whistleblower case sometime ago which, if successful, would mean Tailwind Sports (of which Armstrong is a shareholder, despite claiming he wasn't) would have to pay back the federal funds from the USPS sponsorship deal in full, a figure north of $50m.
It is in his interests to maintain this is a witch hunt and hope it all blows over.

What odds would you ascribe to "it'll just blow over" Andy?

I don't know enough about the potential legal challenges to come, although I imagine a number of aggrieved parties will be looking to recover monies previously paid to him, i.e. News International and SCA.
However, if he can continue to spin the line about this being a witch hunt and deploy the cancer shield (and it's noteworthy that many of his sponsors who announced the termination of their arrangements with him have said they'll continue to donate to Livestrong) then it might all blow over and he can avoid the confession and the erosion of his estimated $125m personal fortune.
The recriminations for the sport of professional cycling will continue for some time though I think, especially with McQuaid and Verbruggen still in situ at the UCI.

Verbruggen this morning in Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, digging his hole even deeper: "there is absolutely no proof that Armstrong ever doped"
http://www.telegraaf.nl/telesport/wielersport/13089646/__Geen_bewijs_tegen_Armstrong__.html (Dutch though)
breaking: mr. Verbruggen now claims that's not what he said or more accurately, texted. Journo says "Hell yes you did..." Text messages sent by him will be published on the paper's web site

"Hein Verbruggen's text to journo, literally (translation): Only thing I can say is that there are many, many stories and allegations but not a trace of EVIDENCE" (Hein's caps)(!)

Woah. Ferrari was running tax fraud/doping package deals for athletes so they could pay no tax on image rights contracts and pay him for drugs out of the proceeds

What other sports are rife with doping?
Golf, clearly. Beta blockers and the like.
Tennis is apparently awash. Poor Timmy failed because of it and his failure to dope.
Baseball
American football
Football.
Snooker
Darts
Beach volleyball
CricketAny more?

Snowboarding
Tombstoning
Kitesurfing
Cowtipping -

All of them. Everyone wants to get a competitive edge so I'd guess that it's prevalent in most if not all sports to some degree.

This really is the story that keeps on giving.
I guess with over a decade of pent-up scandal it will keep giving for a while yet.

Wow. If they're naming Astana and RadioShack, they must have some pretty good evidence.
