^ For now, maybe, but Mr Phil Nike didn't get to be rich by being sentimental.

on whether the Livestrong brand is bigger than the doping allegations [it's a load of tosh IMO but the comments section is great and still pretty active - be interesting how quickly she shifts given the latest release]

^That "article" is dire, isn't it - and her responses in the comments sections even worse.

I don't think you understand Wayne- Lance is bigger than cycling, bigger than the USADA, hell- he's bigger than cancer.
-

Aye, she screams 'validation' at anyone who disagrees with her but substantiates her viewpoint with 'I've been in the industry for 20 years' - so was Harold Shipman loveā¦

I like how she writes that
As I feared, some want to use this forum as a place to argue Lance's guilt. The point of the piece is to explain why Livestrong is still a smart investment
And then makes it all about Lance being not guilty, but without substantiating why Livestrong is a good investment. -

Hmm:
Author, marketing expert, public speaker, **licensed minister**, issues-focused independent

Huffington Post, it's owners and contributors don't deserve the air they breathe.
Her bio on twatter says it all:
Sarah is an internationally regarding big idea creative marketer, author, public speaker, ***licensed minister ***and regular contributor to the Huffington Post.

Dammit!

I remember Mrs Huffington, when she was still single and living in England, writing a piece for The Times seeking to justify doping in sport by saying it was just another way to perform better. She placed it on a par with training. Which just shows how ignorant she was. Why not have engines in your bike? Why don't runners use roller blades or cars?
-
• #2062
Mmmm... engines...

I think its sad. I don't take any pleasure in watching Lance being brought down. He was just better at doing what the over whelming majority were doing which was cheating. I feel sorry for the people who looked up to and idolized Lance and I feel very sad that the people who benefited from Livestrong are going to suffer because of this. The failure in my mind is not with the riders, or the teams whose job it is to win (at any cost?) but with the people who governed the sport.

I like how Tim "c'mon" Herman's comment increases the '500' tests to '500-600' tests. What a load of crap.

If you say it enough times it becomes true. FACT!

He never won Wimbledon though.

But I bet if Lance Armstrong entered Wimbledon he'd win. He's a modern day hero, after all.
-
• #2069
Lance Armstrong broke the law once, it still isn't fixed.

He never won Wimbledon though.
Look, I respect your knowledge of cycling, but when it comes to tennis, get your facts straight will you?
-
• #2071
He never failed Wimbeldon and that's undisputed.

• #2072
Lance Armstrong once took a lie detector test. The machine confessed everything.

I feel very sad that the people who benefited from Livestrong are going to suffer because of this
The only people who benefit from Livestrong are Lance and his hirelings
-
• #2074
Livestrong doesn't cure people of cancer.
They:find new ways to raise awareness, increase outreach and facilitate collaboration in an effort to improve the cancer experience.
