Armstrong crashes out of Castilla y León
By Gregor BrownLance Armstrong crashed today in the opening stage of the Castilla y León stage race in Spain. The American of team Astana retired from the race via an Ambulance -- early reports indicate he injured his right shoulder.
Armstrong was in the main group going **at a face pace **over narrow roads in pursuit of the four-man escape. He came down with a group of around 30 riders.
Armstrong is preparing for the Giro d'Italia, May 9 to 31, and the Tour de France, July 4 to 26. He returned to the sport this year after a three-year retirement following his seventh Tour de France win.

It's strange that someone who is allegedly the most tested athlete ever doesn't understand how drug tests work in France, no?

Sorry but in this case Lance sounds fine. Just another French testing failure.

The established WADA protocol says that the testee must not leave the tester's presence once he's been notified that s/he is to be tested. Reports suggest that Armstrong went inside for 30 minutes before he made himself available for a test. That's a clear breach.
-

"Armstrong claimed he was given permission to shower during that period while his assistants confirmed the AFLD official's credentials."
"In addition, the form asked the tester to state if there were any irregularities or further observations from the testing process and to that he wrote 'no'."
So, the tester is full of shit or was pressured into sending his "concerns" to the French anti-doping mob.

As we all know Armstrong never lies. Much.

He went in to wash so obviously the French would not understand that!

2-day but lets not get technical(ity). ;)
Ok say hypothetically he and everyone else was using dope - and the argument is everyone else was using drugs so he must have been - he still beat them every fucking year, drugs or no drugs, better than the rest. By a mile. So the best TdF rider ever, can't argue with that, even if you don't like him. It would be a great spectacle if he came back to win another TdF..
