• Travis Tygart (USADA chief) says the evidence will all be released eventually regardless, probably after the other cases (Bruyneel) have been heard.

  • If he's innocent...

Loved it, have some rep for that.

  • A ban for Bruyneel means no carear anymore, Armstrong can accept a lifetime ban and still carry on his fight against cancer in his private jet!

^^^ Yeah, Armstrong has a loyal army of followers who will take his word and innocence as gospel, not matter what the outcome in any court. He can survive with a tarnished cycling career and still claim to "fight the good fight" (even if it is founded on cheating)

  • what a cunt.

  • I'm sure Fat Pat and Larry would rather look after Bruyneel though, rather than having him go to court ?

  • If he's innocent

  • no integrity, and one ball.

    ftfy

  • I just hope all this gets put in an episode of south park.

  • I'd love to read some of the case notes. To be honest I don't know a whole lot about the doping scandal.

But as he passed his drugs tests before does that mean the drugs he was taking were slowly administrated over a course of year to stop spikes in tests?

  • Ned Boulting is on Talksport right now discussing this....

  • There must be some really heinous stuff in the submitted evidence that he doesn't want to get out. Really heinous.

Travis Tygart (USADA chief) says the evidence will all be released eventually regardless, probably after the other cases (Bruyneel) have been heard.

Yes, what he's evidently trying to avoid is all the spectacle of a court case, and, following proceedings, a proper verdict. That's always more powerful than a throw-your-toys-out-of-the-pram attitude that 'they're all wronging me'.

  • So which drugs cheats have now been awarded the victories in his place?

    Quite.

1999: Alex Zülle, banned for Festina Affair.
2000: Jan Ullrich banned for Operación Puerto
2001: Jan Ullrich banned for Operación Puerto
2002: Joseba Belok, implicated in Operación Puerto, not convicted
2003: Jan Ullrich banned for Operación Puerto
2004: Andreas Klöden, accused of blood doping, not convicted
2005: Ivan Basso banned for Operación Puerto

So five out of seven years the runners up were certainly cheats, and the other two are suspicious.

  • Travis Tygart (USADA chief) says the evidence will all be released eventually regardless, probably after the other cases (Bruyneel) have been heard.

VN: There was reportedly a lot of evidence in the case, there was witness testimony and presumably more…do you expect any of those details to emerge?

TT: Yes, absolutely…at the right time. Obviously there are other cases that are alleged to be involved in the conspiracy. Their cases are still proceeding, so it will be in due course.

VN: So there is no impediment to USADA releasing the evidence?

    TT: No, no.

  • But as he passed his drugs tests before does that mean the drugs he was taking were slowly administrated over a course of year to stop spikes in tests?

He didn't pass all his drug tests. He bullied or paid his way out of them.

He used masking products to cover up doping agents.

  • Quite.

    Bare jokes.

    they won't go to dopers.

how far down the line do you go until you reach a clean rider...

  • I can't believe this forum!

He is the greatest living cyclist, a hero and inspiration to so many of us.

    He should have our backing...

...whoops.....sorry, thought this was the "Get Scoble" thread.

    Carry on.

    Really?!

Your second point using masking products isn't that essentially what had Shleck sent home from this years tour, if so why wasn't he kicked out a while a go?

Scoble must be on something to build the bikes he builds, though.

Dammit you're right. We must alert the authorities, there's been a terrible misacrriage of justice.

  • So which drugs cheats have now been awarded the victories in his place?

Zulli, Ullrich, Ullrich, Beloki, Ullrich, Kloden, Basso.

Edit: Is there such a thing as brain EPO?

  • Bare jokes.

    Tim tweeted

"Armstrong, Basso, Ullrich, Mancebo, Vinokourov, Leipheimer (reportedly admitted doping to USADA, unconfirmed), Rasmussen."
"list of riders who finished ahead of Cadel at the 2005 TDF - all sanctioned for doping."
