anyone else thinks that the handlebars are plain ugly?
I quite like the handlebars, unless I'm alone on that?
I'm going to go and buy some flat bars though for city riding before long.

I love the bullhorns on the plain plug, so I got a set for my plug grinder:
I've found it really comfortable to use.

Is this really what I think it is?
A shit frame re-made in Ti for the sum of 1400 or so Gold Nuggets?
If so, what on earth has happened to the world, and why on earth would anyone get one. A bleedin full custom Ti Burls is cheaper. In the immortal words of CoppiThat:
Have I missed something!? -
• #706
how is the charge plug a shit frame?
-
• #707
Its not, its just not vintage, lo pro or custom made!
Ey Harry?! ;)They are really good frames, not sure why this was made thought, I have seen them around for a while...

I agree with you on this, seems a bit pointless, I can only imagine it appealing to people who have jumped on to some form of bandwagon, and want to flash cash to show their commitment.
but I dont think Charge are a big enough brand name to appeal to that kind of market.

I was a bit harsh to the Charge folks in that thread, sorry for the vulgarity. But I still think a Ti plug is pretty silly.
-
• #710
^i'm guessing they made like, 10 frames. never seen it available on wiggle, always 'sold out'
-
• #711
bear in mind it's double butted, rather than plain gauge titanium that usually cost about £750ish (like the Burls).
it's a normal price for an OTP titanium frame frankly.
-
• #712
its a pointless exercise but the plug isnt a shit frame in anyway, if you want titanium theres obviously better options
-
• #713
It is shit.
The geometry couldn't be much more horrible if they tried, and they haven't changed it for this, amazing. Design a frame with crap geo and then remake it in a stupidly expensive material, for all those people that like really expensive frames with shit geometry. Good plan. -
• #714
Ed: Its not the price really, its the fact its a fucking plug, and it could be made of gold dust and it would still be shit.
-
• #715
DFP: I did search. label your threads better. :P
But ha. Good read. What a stupid frame. -
• #716
Harry? where can I go to get myself measured in order to get a custom frame made by you?
-
• #717
Re-fucking-post...
puts Harry on ignore

I met a guy on a Ti Plug near west polo once - he seemed happy with it & didn't pay RRP.
I didn't realise geometry was such a bugbear for you harry... you plonker. -
• #724
Yeah, what do Charge know about bikes...
-
• #725
i was told that the manager of a branch of evans had broken his ti plug
cannot vouch for accuracy of the information
Charge plug frames are bomb proof mate, you will be fine.
