Spoke Card Distribution

That would seem a smarter way to think of distributing them. From there we can figure out how many to give to people in each direction.

I'm of the opinion that some should be distributed to a few bike shops, places that sell a lot of fixed-gear or single-speed bikes. Some of the shops (Brick Lane Cycles) might be quite happy to act as a distribution point too, so we could leave a stack there and people could pop in to pick some up.

Seems smarter than just giving bundles of cards out to a few people without knowing how that helps get it to those who don't come out drinking all the time ;)

complete agreement there, david. however, we still need some people to pick up the cards and distribute them. i thought it'd be easier for people to do that on their way home or to work.

(Actually, I have three PCs and four 19" LCD monitors on my desk! No wonder I have no room for paperwork!)

I think that we should hire bike messengers to deliver spoke cards to fakengers.

I work in Kensington and could easily take a bunch from the Duke over that way if anyone is round that way. I live about 2 mins from the Duke.

I'm also up for putting cash into getting lamination done.

Oh and Aidan, have you thought about going through all the old threads and making a list of all the lists we've had? A big, fuck off, meta-list to end all lists?

I can ask the lovely chaps at lovely LBS EJ Barnes on Westbourne Grove to put some out (although I confess it is rather more foldie than fixie in my neck of the woods but there are a few poseurs.)

Im out east in E11 but it seems like Dicki has that area covered. I can go a bit furthur out though to essex......can easily pick some up from Brick lane cycles.

Yes, good point... What's the crack with these cards - were they ever printed or do we still need to organise that?

from what I remember, these cards have been printed and are being distributed. I'm in barcelona, so obviously not going to find any in the local bike shops here! I remember there was someone who said they had free postage from work and they could send me a couple once complete, but I forget who that was.

Could anyone else help out?
