  • Just saw the footage of Hinault forcibly ejecting a spectator from the podium. Lovely stuff.

  • Not a Lesley Garrett fan

  • Gold!

  • Hah!

  • Am I the only one who can't understand a word Cavendish says??

I know he's a bit inbred and from The Isle of Man but he may as well be talking Mandarin!

Translation please, I don't speak scouse, or mockney.

When riding really hard the body releases loads of endorphins and various other science happens, all of which can affect speech temporarily.

I know this from my studies of ordering coffee and cake on Saturday's after sprinting for signpost/cafe/whatever. I can sound quite disabled for 5 mins or so, and I'm not the only one.

Sky surprised a lot of people with there team organisation, preparation and tactics. The way they rode this tour could be a game changer, I think we'll see a lot of teams looking at Sky and modelling their preparation on them. There should be more contenders next year for overall, and riders like Boonen and Hushvod to come back to compete for stages. Sky will have a headache accommodating the ambitions of Froome, Wiggins and Cavendish again

I'm considering a nerging for using 'game changer' without irony.

  • MotherGirl repped for adding to all the noise that gave me goosebumps on tv. Check out Froome's interview if you get a chance MG, he mentions that section of crowd.

  • LMNH was great. The Rollapaluza boys told me it was Mansell who was going to race Obree. I headed off before they started though unfortunately.

  • Brilliant:

Yesterday he even expressed bemusement at receiving a direct message from notorious footballing troublemaker Joey Barton. "He seemed to like the swearing," noted Wiggins.

  • I don't usually watch cycling but did tune in for the Paris race. It was pretty exciting and I was happy to see a stage win, and a 1-2. The woman singing was pretty bad too, I had to mute her.

  • Absolutely sunburnt to bits watching them come through the tunnel on every lap.

Ouch. Was glad had factor 30 on me.

We had anxious few minutes listening to commentary after last time past Champs-Elysee Renault Zoe / Virgin Megadeathstar area when catch was happening.

3 lots of pigeon poop too, all amazing of course.

Rode most of the lap on Sat night on Velib, was great fun especially a cheeky TdFrancis style lap of the Arc de Triomphe in there.

    Must sleep.

  • p.s. the anthem was awful. ^^^^^^^^

  • p.s. the anthem was awful. ^^^^^^^^

agreed. still, amazing atmosphere on the champs elysee today. just got back from a latw night sprint along it on a velib, fuck knows what it's like riding that on 23mm tyres at 60kph

  • Hoy's take on Bradley in yellow

Chris Hoy believes that if Bradley Wiggins seals Tour de France victory in Saturday's time trial, it will be the greatest ever sporting achievement by a British sportsperson.

It will be nothing short of fucking miraculous, seeing as the time trial is on the Wednesday.

Unfortunately, quite the opposite with me.

It was shocking though.. A car crash, leg of ham version of the national anthem..

As ever I feel lost now.. No TdF for another year...

That was from Friday last week I think

And Brave, there's always the Vuelta

It was bad, why Lesley Garret?

  • COME ON TIM!!!!!!!!

  • It will be nothing short of fucking miraculous, seeing as the time trial is on the Wednesday.

He was referring the Tour TT, not the Olympic TT!

Bad?!! it was shocking.. Cringe provoking.. Hide behind the sofa kind of stuff..

Mind you Tim's camp pose is gold as well..

Next year, Dan Francis is singing the anthem.

  • "I feel honoured to be singing the same songs as the pros"
