  • I'm a bit pissed. Carry on.

  • Yep, too many armchair know-nothings on twitter and farcebake moaning about Froome being held back.
Cobblers, in addition to what dubtap just said, it would have looked pretty fucking pathetic for Froome to chase down Valverde and still not manage to pip him on the line. Or for him to sod off and suddenly Nibbler comes back and catches Brad...

  • I'm a bit pissed. Carry on.

Did you knock Cavendish off with your flag?

    You cunt.

  • Although she's become a diversion - I did notice that our Michelle retweeted (is this right) something about Wiggins being a naughty South African word. Perhaps she meant it in a John Terry ironic sense or a Rio Ferdinand twitter sense - social media is so confusing. Anyway it was removed sharpish. Back to smashing it up and down the river or something like that...

  • But to be back on topic Brad should of let Chris go and get the win today, sky ds people should be lambasted for not letting him go and being control freaks.

Why the assumption Brad held back Froome? As I said it looked like Froome was trying to pull Brad along but was going to stay with him whatever. I saw nothing that suggested that Brad was trying to hold him back, more like Froome choose to stay with him

But chin chin, do carry on with your mud pies

  • Cav posted this on twitter an hour ago

Why do the spectators have to be such knobs?

every race i watch on tv at some point i'm shouting at the stupid cunts in the way.

  • ^ That's no way to speak to your housemates.

  • I think there's a fine line with spectators. You need them because it makes the tour the circus that it is and must always be. However when people are getting burnt by flares and riders rolling in at the back are getting hit with flags or whatever then it's fucking sad.

  • Give Voeckler a cattle prod for 1 stage each tour and spread the word. That would work.

  • Who can remember the cyclist brought down by the dick taking a photo, approx 8-10yrs ago I cannot remember if it was in the Alps or Spanish Hills, he was right in the middle of the road, thinking just a bit closer, for the perfect shot, the cunt never moved & the poor cyclist rode into him & was knocked off. I cannot think of the stage or yr though!

I blame the Aussies. Fat bastards sitting there with there Castlemaine XXXX all day in the heat waiting for their bum-faced leader to skulk by. Can't handle their drink and revert to their criminalistic ways.

Next year will all be regency themed campers, earl-grey and fine porcelain with polite applause and perhaps a dignified snifter of sherry raised in their honour as they pass by.

    What ho.

    Ha!

    Giuseppe Guerini, Team Telekom, 1999, L'Alpe d'Huez.

  • ^^^ a masterclass in racism.

    Repped.

  • interesting if Froome wins the Vuelta, then his bint gets on twitter slagging off Wiggo. Defection by Froome to another team, sets up 2013 Tour, Brad vs Froome now that would be very juicy..

  • I'd rather see Mrs Twiggs 'n Womb trying to beat the shit out of each other with track pumps having necked a bottle of lambrini each. I'm sure Eurosport 8 would be interested in broadcasting too.

  • Giuseppe Guerini, Team Telekom, 1999, L'Alpe d'Huez.
thanks for that, it was longer ago than I thought, still the same impact, just watched on Youtube. What a cunt, possibily the worst spectator ever, luckily he still won the stage.

  • ^ the spectator went to the team hotel after the stage to apologise and Guerini was totally cool about it. He was looking through the camera which made him totally misjudge Guerini's speed.
Guerini invited the guy in to meat some of the team and got him a signed jersey, as winning the stage was going to make him famous, but winning after an incident like that more than doubled the value!

  • Guerini invited the guy in to meat some of the team...

I bet he got a proper roasting

to win on Alpe d Huez is the ultimate stage or possibly Paris, maybe for a British rider Mont Ventoux although they only did the Time trial in 87 I would like to see a Mountain time trial every yr

  • Froomes missus not too happy @michellecound just tweeted[QUOTE]"Suddenly not so in the mood for Paris on Saturday… what a joke!"

She's got the wrong day for starters:

  • And again, Tommy is so much fun to watch.

Indeed. My favourite moment of today's stage was when he pulled alongside Chris Anker Sørensen and copped a look at his injury. Clearly plucky Tommy doesn't have the stomach for blood. Second best must be Paul Sherwin's elegant 'And there's a nutter running alongside him' summary of some move late on, forget who, and his mammoth usage of 'this afternoon' throughout his commentary, lest we put ourselves to bed.

  • Tommy Voeckler is a star, that man is all heart.

  • Someone please chase down Valverde and prevent him winning the stage.

Froome should've gone and done that. I was actually all for Sky in this instance.
