Gave up on the feeds from cycling fans as every time I started watching one it was "removed due to copyright infringmement"
That run by Cancellara was fantastic! Is it just me or was he frothing at the mouth by the end?

He was.
That's effort right there.

I'm going to aim to arrive home from every training ride a dribbling mess from now on. I don't think I've been working hard enough.

Jimmy, I wish people would stop slagging off Sean Kelly. Yes, he's not the greatest speaker in the world, but he's the best part of the commentary. He really understands what's going on, although I think some of that function may have been diminished as he's taught David Harmon more, so the contrast isn't as pronounced as it was.
I'd have a knowledgeable cycling legend there any day, even if he stumbles over words. Substance over style.
Wasn't slagging him off, just pocking fun at the interminable 'errrrrrrrrmmmmmsss' and the way he says 'turr-tee'. When I said he wasn't entertaining I meant he doesn't crack many jokes, which he doesn't, but does provide a fantastic insight throughout. No need to be defensive on his account, I like him as a commentator. He did tell a decent story about winning a cow at a race recently, but joker he is not

Strong from Chava. Looking like a good day for OPQS.

Van Garderen 3 seconds faster than Cancellara through the first time check.

I like Kelly's seriousness and the way he has to keep Harman grounded sometimes.

Strong. Could give my team the shot in the arm it needs. He won't keep it up though.

+1 Just be clear: I watch Eurosprt, I like the commentators, I like Kelly but he does have an extraordinarily thick Irish accent which means he's easy to have a bit of fun with. That and how he once won a cow for winning a bike race. He looked into transporting back to Ireland but ended up selling it back to the farmer who donated it.

Simon in London: "Wiggins won't have to worry about putting his special Sky body suit back on tomorrow because Evans will be wearing the yellow tonight!"
Sorry Simon. He wouldn't put it on anyway for two reasons: A) it's a rest day tomorrow and B) even if it wasn't they only wear them for time trials. -

Sky have done their own skinsuit yellow so Wiggins gets that extra 0.3 of a milli-second every 10 kilometres apparently.
The drug-riddled Froomedog is about roll

I used to ride an old red, yellow and orange MBK Mountain Bike back in the late 90's that had a biopace (elliptical) chainring. I didn't really notice it to be honest. It looked odd spinning around when riding the bike and looking down.
True story.

Well this is phenomenal from Tejay. Might pop into the bookies for odds on him becoming a seven times tour winner.
-
• #1122
Where's he got that pace from? Thought he was more of a pure climber

Here goes bum face

has anyone ever ridden on one?
I used biopace ones on my tribike once, made no difference to my bike time. They are much more subtle than brads one.

When did the Test Match Special guys start covering the TdF? I can imagine Boycott having a few choice things to say about the bikes... "Gotta seat like a razorblade that has..."
;)
Damn! That was fast!
Cancellara is an animal.
