  • And they are available from?

  • Reckon Tokyo Fixed can order them in for you, Freshtripe also import them too.

  • Best and lightest mudguard? Carbon GB smooth carbon weight 78g.

    Downside? they're expensive.

    Ftfy ;)

  • Link?

  • Would suggested that but they're as useful as the one on the English;

    http://www.bikebrothers.co.uk/berthoud_files/02.jpg

  • Link please, Ed

  • SJS I think.

  • They're Gilles Berthoud, SJS import them.

  • I like Purple MJ's mudguards. They looked like bamboo or summin.

  • I called SJS, those CF guards are no longer available.

  • They weren't very popular.

  • Aren't they also something like 200 quid?

Can't you just order them from the GB website?

I'd go for sks and then have some cf ones custom mad further down the line.

  • Have you tried using the GB website? It's unfathomable.

The Salmon Profile ones look great, but are heavy, the Curana look good, and (seem, based on total shipping weight) to be lighter, so they are winning currently.

The SKS ones are simply too big.

  • Yes GB do have an interesting website.

I think emailing them would be your best

  • They're stunningly expensive as well, I'm going for >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Let us see if Curana respond to my email.

  • I'm the one with SKS fenders using Berthoud hardware.
Haven't weighed them, but they provide full coverage and are light enough, and look better without SKS hardware too. GB website does sell parts separately.

  • If anyone following this wants a pair of the Salmon Profil 'guards I have a pair I've decided to sell. They've never been used but have been partially assembled and have some shop wear (minor scratches etc) they will polish/clean up really easily and nicely with a bit of wire wool.
    All hardware present and correct.
    They're £42 & shipping from Salmon
So -£35 from SE London or could meet in town.

  • I'll take those.

  • Could I have a look please? might well decide whether I get those or the Curana

  • And Ed, have you or have you not just spent today telling me they're shit?

  • Shh, wait in line.

They're shit indeed, but my dad wanted those kind of mudguard for his bicycle.

  • Neil's nearer.

  • ;-)

  • I'm on holiday at the moment (AKA tiling the bathroom) so could pop over whenever is convenient for a look tomorrow?

  • I want a pair of 35mm smooth ally 'guards
Can't afford or wait for Honjo and VO don't make them anymore.
I'd settle for the VO 37mm smooth but out of stock at Freshtripe and Tokyo fixed. Anyone have a lead?
