Fart!
Got into a bit of a tumble with a lorry this morning (he went into me, didn't see me, but stopped in time, thank god... I'm lucky and all in one piece)
Fresh stripe, and velo vitality are out of stock for VO black hammered mudguards... Last time they were out of stock for ages (Like over 6 month)
Any idea?
Why people don't stock things that will obviously sell? ? ?

Oof that looks pretty bad. It's a Dutch shop but http://libertecycles.nl stock them. Is the frame okay?

SBC made up a new bracket for my front 50mm GB which has less clearance than that.

Thanks!
They don't seem to have them anymore either...
Frame I think is fine (fingers crossed) will try to have Winston looking at it and confirm... -

Wondering though, on a frame with track endsm re metal guards going to be stiffer than plastic and therefor make wheel removal more of a pain? I imagine they'll be stiffer...
Stiffer, yes, but with careful adjusting, it shouldn't be diffcuilt.
A new chain to increase the length so the wheel sit near the edge of the drop out make a big difference.

Because people keep buying them.

Fart indeed! Hope you're alright and you got the drivers details.
PDW is another option you can go for, granted it is a little modern but it does come in black and gun metal sliver.

I bought some mud butlers from America recently and they're really similar to the VO ones. They're a slightly more matte finish and the hammering is more subtle but I think everything else is the same. Got them from the manufacturers ebay shop and they worked out roughly the same price as the Velo orange ones, postage took about 2 weeks.

I think Curana but as said above they're too short to be functional and don't have the channel thingies on the sides

Fitted VO 35mm on the road bike today and it totally sucked but I'm pretty happy with the result

Will show it at some point to Winston for peace of mind but I'm sure it's fine...
On the mudguards front, if I don't buy new mudguards now (it's the summer now right? Will hardly rain again for months no?) I'm tempted to try big tires, see if I can fit bigger than 38c to the back...
Sorry, wrong thread >>>>> -

@Heldring and @edscoble I was kidding about rain...
At my parents today, took the old Holdsworth for a little country ride this morning, and was wondering if I should, providing I ride it so little, deprive it from it's vintage off white bluemels, and put them on the Varonha, saving money and avoiding the misery of unavailable black VOs?

The only option is to use Chromoplastics. Super annoying.
