This.
And I can vouch for him, they're the local online bike shop.

@CharlieTheBikemonger makes good tea.
When I was there and having problems singlespeeding my geared fatbike, the parts I needed (new chain etc) were put through the computer before I paid, so if it's on the website, it's on a shelf in the shop.
When he gets specials in, like stainless steel beer "glasses", rare niche wiggly bars, he adds it to the database (with the number available), then tells everyone on facebook about it, often with a photo of aforementioned shiny things...

Ah... so that's who I have to blame for not being able to get the 30mm PDW from Paligap.
-

Condor also have them in stock, or they did last week anyway. Handy if you are nearby but they don't ship.

Condor, LMNH, bespoke?
After some fettling I managed to eliminate any guard rub with 23mm wide rims and 25mm tyres with the 30mm PDWs... Looks a lot tidier too!

have raceblade longs been discontinued?
-
• #1433
I've had Salmon guards a few times, what I love about them is they can be fitted to bikes with no clearance on bridge/forks
-
• #1434
Yep (jk lol) you can have my used ones for £500

I bought a set of SKS longboards (28") more in hope than expectation, and unsurprisingly they don't quite fit my genesis. Cost me £23.49, they've barely been out of the packaging and haven't been fitted. Anyone want them for £18? Pick up in Hammersmith tmw or early new year...

It's sold out.

I put them on my dad's bike, I can only run them with 23mm as the alu is very thick.
It got a lots less clearance than the PDW.

Anyone looking for sks race blade long that can't find them anywhere online, condor had loads in stock in store

West end evans also had some when I was in last week.

I have SKS chromoplastics. But my feet got soaked on my 8 mile commute last time I rode to work in the wet. Running 28mm gp4 season tyres under the guards.
How can I get dry feet?
-
• #1441
Get a longer mudguard, or add mudflap.
Chromoplastic are notorious for being very short on the front (and back too), light grey area show the spray from the front wheel.;

My mudguards bolt onto the frame in the normal place on the chainstay bridge.
The bolt will not stay done up - constantly backs out, despite (last time) a liberal application of thread lock.
How do I get this little bastard to stay put?

wavy washer
shakeproof serrated washer
nyloc nut
any/all will help
if still no good, tighten assembly then drill a small pilot hole through the nut and bolt and insert a bent pin, that'll hold

• #1444
Serrated washer will be my next port of call I think, I just gave it a damn good clean and used a) lots of threadlock and b) got it PFT.
We shall see what happens!

I already have a front mudflap. Is there a longer replacement available?
Alternatively which mudguards offer longer coverage?
-
• #1446
SKS Longboard.
DIY a big mudflap from a plastic milk bottle etc.
-
• #1447
As he said ^ making your own mudflap work best, I used old touring tyres as they follow the curve of the wheel nicely.
Milk bottle is lighter and smarter looking.

smarter looking
Especially if it's a Waitrose Organic one.

If you want to go all out, remove the upper stay attachment and refit it on the outside of the guard. Noticed the other week that the water inside the guard was streaming off those attachments and straight into the top of my shoes!

I am 100% sure that this has been answered before but... PDW Fenders / CAAD10 / 23mm wheels. Can I fit 25c under 'em?
No, @CharlieTheBikemonger is saying he does actually have them, unlike other shops which are advertising them cheaper, will take your money then let you wait until they're re-stocked.
