Part of the bikes appeal is that it is compact and ideal for the city. It can take a lot more punishment than the track specific bikes.
As for looks most people love it or hate it. I know I'd hate a massive head tube a lot more. The bike is functional and is a pretty much do all fixed gear bike.
Oh and I think I heard somewhere that Austin 'Horse' was doing cyclo cross on his Gangsta. Try doing that on a Bob Jackson

Completely off subject but...
Why don't Chris King make fucking track hubs? I'm so taken by the strong and pretty headset in my left hand.
very good question - i've been riding kings on my mtb's for years and they are truly superlative.

Wrong, Fixed Gear was declared dead about a month ago in the Sunday Times Style magazine. Was going to post it but copy got chucked out. Girlfriend *loved *showing that to me.
P.s. I really want a BMW.

It's worth at least one pint?
-
• #89
Deal. Pint of Babycham for the lady?
-

The Gangsta, like all other BMW's is a great looking machine - compact geometry only looks wrong when the manafacturer tries to stick retro bits/paintjob to them. A sloping top tube on the right machine looks right.
Personally i love the way BMW are designed for purpose first, looks second which is actually what makes them look so good

Can I have these as well please? -
• #92
Only if you drink the babycham out of them.
-
• #93
Have you ever drank Baileys from a shoe?
-

I went to BMW when I was in NYC this summer but got scared when I arrived so didn't go in!
Has anyone ever crossed the threshold into their building? -
