Coming back to this, I have actually made some chopped down bmx bars.

I wouldn’t use existing bars for the purely segmented design like the BMW ones but more like a mini 4piece design.

Ignore the v shaped cross bar, that wouldn’t really work with brazing I don’t think...

Poor choice of words, but I know what you mean. I’ll email him today. He replicated some aero forks on one of my old frames (I think it was 853?) when they disintegrated outside the Royal Albert Hall many years ago

You should, he’ll be able to tig them up which will be quicker and easier than brazing and he is likely a lot better set up for small batch production than I am plus he has a lot of tooling like benders that I don’t.

Got a disc mount welded to my gangsta forks by @PhilDAS

Interested to see how this has gone for you - I got a second hand V4 frameset last week and was thinking about making it my (stupidly posh) polo bike, but i'd need new forks or to weld a disc mount on. Any problems so far?

Nah no problems at all, @PhilDAS done a great job. Stops the bike, think it looks better than the v brake and seems plenty strong. Ive just got a 160mm disc too on at as anything more is overkill.
