Thats it. 650b for mine.
What fork is incoming for this? -
• #5528
Nice. I really like running the disc on mine.

I used a MTB rim so I can't go any smaller. I regret that now as I'd like to go back to 32c.
It’ll be fine.

Nice. Sweet fixeh

• #5533
What fork is that?
-
• #5534
I run a 32 RiBmo on a 22.5 internal rim and it works fine. I even had a 28 GP 4 Seasons before.

@konastab01 It's a Talbot Maximum Gainz fork
@PhilDAS @Lolo I'll check it out. Sure I'd read it was a 37c minimum so I'd been staying conservative on the sizing.

Thanks for letting me know :)

• #5545
Has there been any side by side comparison photos of the talbot ones and the BMW originals?
Thanks

Anyone looking to sell their gangsta hit me up
-
• #5547
I haven't. I've never used my V3 fork. I originally used the V1 style fork from the run that BMW did years ago, cause I just swapped it over from the V2. Sold that one when I got the Talbot and the V3 fork remains unused (and not for sale).
I think @HousecatHST also has a medium V3, if there is a gangsta ride and we're both on it we could compare there.
-
• #5548
I thought the V3 and V1 were pretty similar, if you've ever got a chance i'd love to see them up close to see how different the tablet ones are from the original forks.
-
• #5549
Yeah I’ve got a v3 medium, the forks are 410mm axle to crown as I remember, was that even the question ?
I’ve been lurking and hoping somebody would organise a gangsta ride.
-
• #5550
Yeah im in for gangsta ride lets reunite those gangstas
Different forks en route for disc brake fun.
650b.
Loads of clearance spare, toe overlap seems solved as well, bizarrely little effect on crank clearance considering.
I won’t lie, I previously stated an indifference to the gangsta. I take it back. Just needs to be used for what it was made for.
Side note, will eventually be back up for sale as other bike is incoming around Christmas time. It was a test bed for the incoming set up. Sort of.
