Proper T-shirt weather today.
Not as hot as in Queensland, not even close.

I've been laid up with a virus all weekend, I've had the air-conditioning on for almost 72hrs straight... Couple of hours respite early in the morning then close the windows and air-con on...

Weather report for our little forum outpost down south:
Hope TS has his air conditioning working well.

I'm in the air-con right now... It's been quite hot up here in Queensland but nowhere near as hot as it is down south... They've been hitting almost 50°c, big fires down in Tassie this week, they're in a state of emergency right now... We've had very little rain all summer, this is supposed to be our wet season...

It's gonna be fucked up. I bet the same idiots won't clear around their houses either and wonder they burn down and people die.
I'd still rather 50 then 0.5.

bbc promised snow last night , WHERE IS IT ?
at least it isn't -33c like minneapolis, how do they get on with normal life at that temp, cycle rides must be short and fast, if you can breath at all that is

North of London, the fields of Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire are covered in a thin layer of the stuff.
-
• #8322
No rail chaos though, which is surprising.
-
• #8323
Definitely slippery in places that don't get overnight traffic. Few peds having trouble staying upright this morning. First commute to the new office, definitely rolled over some ice, didn't crash, happy enough with that.

Must be the "Right Kind of Snow"™. They need to collect it, store it and then spread it over the tracks next time they have a fall of the 'Wrong Kind of Snow'™.
By the time I'd packed a second set of clothes for gym, the rain had stopped. Stupid Brexit weather.
