Black ice. Fuck sake. Twice! Twice it done for me last night....

Black ice is well dodge, left the bike at home today

Black ice matters.

Nasty out here too, be careful. Both feet out of the clips, uphills with near enough no traction so riding in the muddy edges. Road replace with a temporary skating rink in the last half mile was nerve racking.

There's only one kind of ice where I live, and it's more of a year round problem... It's fucking EVERYWHERE!!!

Sydney is great, bar the cost of living. We're resigned to buying a tiny apartment... Anywhere. No chance of a house here. Marrickville, Dulwich hill and Erskineville all went from being Sydney's cheapest to unobtainable over night.

Still, working in north Sydney and getting to look at the harbour everyday does remind you of some reasons why everyone puts up with it. One last pic from the office...

Is that, or used to be the Philips building in Blues Point? My dad you used to work in there. I remember the view.

It is! Although it's now got a Fujitsu sign. I've been freelancing at a place there for 6 months on the 11th floor, cannot get used to the view. It's great when storms roll in.

This mornings club run postponed to this afternoon due to icy ❄️ roads.

Just got myself and bike prepared and was leaving the house to see an update - conditions haven’t changed so ride cancelled.

At some point I must get my turbo room sorted for these occasions.

Mtb with studded tyres. I have one and I use it when its icy. Although lots commented about falling on ice this morning in Suffolk. I did not find any.

I didn't see much ice out there in the Chilterns. White Hill and Chesham Lane had some the rest was off the roads.
