About an hour's worth of torrential rain heading for a direct hit on London. I'm staying in bed a while longer.
Now if I'd seen that 2 hours ago...
Actually made it about halfway before it hit, and anyway, I don't have the stay in bed option.

i waited at home until it brightened up a bit, then headed off from Forest Hill
the deluge resumed within 5 minutes and continued until I got to Holborn, when it paused again
mitts on top of monitor, cap on desk lamp, socks draped over edge of bin, other stuff draped around
nice

^ this also happened to me.
But I did fit my front mudguard over the weekend and also replaced the short tip on the rear mudguard for a full one with a mudflap flare so I felt slightly smug even as I became drenched.

It drawn to me recently that the part I least liked to get wet on is the saddle, so even if I'm mildly soaked, a warm dry saddle make all the difference in the world.

I have a heater under my desk.

Mitts and cap are now nice and dry, now I'm doing the antisocial bit: shoes on desk with anglepoise lamp heating them up.

Left the house at 9.30 and rode in under blue skies. Even considered stopping to take my jacket off but was running a bit late by then.

That is all fine, but you are not getting home dry unless you kip in the office.
