And is there some sort of feed to see where trees are down?
Lewisham council actually have a fallen tree map. I'm quite impressed.
This was quite useful, it warned me about the one road closure on my route: http://www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews/london

You know that giant beach ball on the roof of an office at Old Street roundabout?

Haha.

I wonder what happened to the footballs on Hackney Marshes.

They are probably on their way to Smallfurry's place right now.

I gained a few balls, and a paddling pool last huricane.
Most families have trampolines in the garden. Mines about to be stowed away. But there are always rogue trampolines flying through the streets when the autumm storms hit. Fun times.

Cant say I see many on the west coast. Everythings made of thick wood, and concreted to the ground around here.

Like that's going to do them any good in the face of a proper British storm.

The Belgians wouldn't have even cancelled a race for winds of this strength.

Totally different climate.
It rains sideways here. You could probably just set up some windbreakers in a rainstorm and stay dry.

Reminds me the scene from The Fight Club near World Trade Center with a massive ball.

A bit of a let down
Not a tree knocked down nor hardly a leaf fallen.
HtfuuuDidn't you take your regular route in? Southgate Road had a great big tree lying across it at 08:10?!!!

admittedly I didn't leave my house until half nine, but it was a pretty nice headwind filled ride.
Looking forward to the return journey. -

A tree down across the road near Homerton station:
That's an inspired filtering suggestion.
You'd just need one more filter on Barnabas Road, just south of Hasset Road, and that's the whole of the Homerton High Street / Ponsford Street / Morning Lane / Wick Road / Kenworthy Road cell filtered.
The blue symbols are the filters. -

Looking forward to the return journey.Sods law will dictate a change in direction of the wind forcing you to be riding into it on on both legs of your journey.

The quiet after the storm.

bazschmas, I'm expecting the headwind on both ways of the commute, it happens too often for it to be a coincidence..

Yay, week off, going for a walk in the park.
We walked up a bloody big hill. Weather was fantastic. Nice gentle breeze and beautiful sunshine. Autumn rocks.

There is always a headwind Corny. Wherever you go in London.
Seems to be some kind of hail out there right now which I am not looking forward to riding in to be honest but needs must -

The blue symbols are the filters. That's all very well, Trevor, but I really don't think this tree is large enough yet to be a durable enough modal filter.

Saw a courier at lunchtime today riding around on a red low pro with a full rear disk and 80mm front.
Aero beats wind I guess.
I've looked at some watches, watched some videos of hip hop crowd fights, watched a Lambo custom job, scanned the flat for cakes. I think it's time for more coffee. The pace here is frenetic.
