  • Queensland, mid-winter, 24°C... Fantastic...

    I could definitely live here...

    #crossesfingers

    organises whip-round

  • donates

  • organises charity pub crawl, any profits after the cost of the beer/chips/strippers to be donated to the B&D keep TS down under campaign.

  • this whole heatwave thing is a myth put forward by the london centric media
went to dunwich over the weekend and it was horrible
    rainy cold damp no sun

That was all in your mind, you have been brainwashed to keep returning to London for the warmer weather. It was 30C and sunny in the beer garden.

  • doh !

  • well that was some storm

  • There was a storm? Was that in East London?

All hot and muggy out West, but not a drop of rain to be seen or thunder to be heard.

  • Was a downpour in SE London overnight. Thunder and lightening woke me up.

  • it has been raining in Kew

  • North of the river is still dry.

  • Brisbane had been gorgeous this afternoon, blue skies and 23°C...

Downside is that sunset is just after 5pm...

  • not sure what time it was when it broke, but 11.30 last night when i hit the sack and could hear rumbles in the background ( no not the curry i had for tea ), then middle of the night massive flashes of lightning and thunder galore proper biblical downpour, it was nice to have the window open and hear the full cacophony of noise
the garden took a nice soaking, air nice and fresh this morning
lets get back to the heat now please

  • Hailstones in SW last night, big fat ones about a half-inch in diameter. Set off all the car alarms outside. I got up to close the windows before everything near them got completely soaked and battered to death and saw the most amazing torrents of water flowing through the gutters drainwards, and lightning flashes every few seconds for a good few hours.

This would all be much better if it had actually done something to make this infernal fucking heat go away

  • Just north east of the rain, and trying to decide if its worth going out for a ride. Looks like wherever I go it will be wet though :/

  • I was hoping the soaking would break the heat, but instead it's just made it a humid mess outside.

  • Wonderful storm and downpour in Grantham last night too. Quite needed as the lawn was resembling the Gobi.

  • yeah it was pretty full on around 12.30-1am last night. hail, rain, thunder and lots of lightning. heaviest rain I think I've ever experienced in london, car alarms going off all over the place.

  • North of the river is still dry.

    Lies

  • Certainly a nice drop of rain. Got rid of all the noisy cunts nattering outside my flat all night, and hopefully washed the birdshit off my car bonnet too.

  • Lies

    Well it was in Brentford.

Just arrived at Waterloo, and the roads around look like there's been some heavy rain and minor flooding.

    Localised is an understatement.

  • I got back from Souths at about 11:30 and was loving the feel of rain so much that I nipped out into the garden and reveled in it for a while. 'twas lovely.

  • And now it's stopped.

Down to your pants again, Matt, and get back in that garden.

  • Went for a ride in it. Got utterly drenched and don't mind admitting that one clap of thunder did scare the bejeezus out of me. Was lovely rolling around in the rain for an hour though.

  • andyp reported for stalking

  • Would be lovely to ride in the forecast tropical rain on Saturday. Any odds?
