A Grenadian upbringing killed the cold survival instincts in me. Sorry.

I've got next week off and want to do a fair bit of riding, but get real problems with frozen fingers in this weather. So am thinking of upgrading to some seriously brutal gloves seeing as there looks to be no thaw arriving anytime soon.
Has anyone used either of these before, and if so, got any feedback?

Check the winter gloves thread too

I'm trying their wooly gloves at the moment which have been quite good, their dedicated winter gloves are not made in large enough sizes for my hands unfortunately.

Are the full on lobster ones still 'flexible' enough to dick around finding things in pockets whilst on the move etc?
-
• #5341
I've not used the lobsters. Sorry.

• #5342
I've got the Craft lobsters on today, and they aren't flexible enough for that, so I doubt the Sealskin ones are either. But I guess it depends how big your pockets are and how big the things you are trying to pick up are.

Was just thinking about whether it would be feasible to grab a 'nana / energy bar etc whilst on the move - although it's a fairly trivial factor in the decision. More importantly - how about actually changing gear!?

Gear yes banana no

hate the taste of banana skin!
it really is bloody cold out there. it's making cycling a bit miserable now.
funny that up in east anglia there's more snow, frost on the ground etc but at least it looks like spring - daffs and crocuses under the snow, blossom starting to bloom on the trees, while south london still looks like winter.
