Most of our population are underground. We have more vehicles here, simples. Actually it was particularly bad this morning. Truckies on phones running reds are particularly fun to dodge.

The wind here is 50mph and we have some lovely tall buildings to channel it into stronger cross winds.

Basically, let's just save some time - whatever weather you've seen in IOM I'm going to have ridden hotter, wetter, colder.. :P

It's a bit like that here in Leeds today. A complete howling gale, all day. Driving rain, shit all over the roads, gutters like the Nile, wind that makes your gob flap like your in a centrifuge.

Perversely, I quite like it. There's something of a challenge in riding in it, mainly because nobody else is riding in it. Lots of layers and waterproofs, but I also wish I'd got a larger cog for the back - 72" isn't too bad, but I'd like a cheeky 66" for days like these.
