Now snowing in E1.

Are the roads wet? Or stupid icy as forecast.. Can handle the wet slush but I did one ride last year on pure black ice all the way from Soho to Brockley that was horrorshow

Just wet, but it's coming down no bad here in NW1.

Though I've long extolled the virtues of the Halo Courier Berlin tyres, I've also always said that they skip off hard, cold (icey) surfaces. I don't mind the slush, but an icey patch I found the other night in Lewisham proved my undoing. I'm not looking forward to the next week much....though I'll still be cycling through it. Faceplanting is funny though, no matter who it happens to. I LOLd.

It was at the base of Loampit Vale, but I'm sure it will be everywhere from tonight. Happy riding. ;)

No excuses from me. I continued to Lower Sydenham on the bike, then was back past the same spot a few hours later, heading back to work again. My face cushioned the fall, so it was fine.

That's OK then.. I live just at the top of Loampit Vale...

I drove down from Leeds this afternoon, snowing quite heavily for some stretches North of Leicester, just turned to grey slushy spray from the Midlands downward.

Evidence of some snow having fallen in SE23, nothing happening now though.

If it's a condensing boiler, the outflow pipe may be frozen up. This is the plastic one outside above a drain. Get a hairdryer on it (paying particular attention to any bends). Then wrap it with cloths and get some insulation in the morning,
