Yes, not so cold there as in lovely London's famous London.
But Noah did build his Ark with with Ireland in mind, as it rains there ALL THE TIME.
Well yeah, but the good thing about that is it makes you appreciate London's weather so much.
Plus it's good for skidding.

-3 Celsius on the thermometer when I left home this morning. And I experienced something I haven't felt since my time in Canada.....cold eyelashes.
Definitely parky.
-9 Celsius at 3am in Farnborough, Kent. So I can't really complain.

I love this weather (as I've said plenty of times) and have no problem being outside and active but the heating in our office is broken. Sitting down in a cold office is no fun!

Up here the weather turned all mild, just as England went sub zero.
Just enough for the snow to melt during the day and freeze during the night. Its nasty wet snow and icy roads today.
Much prefer a stable -5 -15 C. The air is drier and the ground is less slippy.

I know what you mean. I was looking at the weather and remembering when I used to think -5, that's not too bad.
Don't think I'll be beating my record of riding to work at -17 this year though.

yep definitely on the fresh side this morning (till the exertion-generated-central-heating kicked in). it was mercifully dry, non icy/greasy and relatively windless too.
another good thing about a cold easterly wind from scandanavia is that it gives the westward homebound (uphill) commute a tailwind. y'know that thing where the tail wind is in exact equilibrium with your forward motion and altough you're pelting along with coparative ease the relative wind speed in your face is zero? well i had that going full-pelt all the way down and up the euston underpass last night. felt like i had broken the laws of physics for a moment. it was aces.
