Hmmm, I think shifting it might have to be done. Met office predictions aren't good! I agreed this needs to be dry. Southend was alright wet, but this is a bit more of a sightseeing tour I guess.
Just out of interest, anyone gonna bail out if it rains for Dunwich?

Good. Might be time to get some new waterproofs though (first time I've said that at the start of summer)
-
• #191
Just wear normal clothes and absorb the rain through your skin. It means you don't need to drink. :)

• #192
Euh... Next weekend is the Tour, isn't it? I'm unlikely to be in any state to ride by Saturday night after the Prologue.

I can't believe you're not riding cos of a bit of rain... I'm honestly shocked!
It'll make it even more fun. When it rains do you guys leave the bike at home
and catch the tube or something!? Jeeez! Why don't you just shorten the ride or something? Tower bridge to vauxhall bridge and all
the one's in the middle. Start it at 11pm after a few pints - brilliant fun no?!?!?DON'T BE SUCH PARTY POOPERS!

• #194
I agree! Plus, the Beeb just removed one of the raindrops from their saturday forecast.
-
• #195
i'm still going
-
• #196
Fine. Be like that. See you in the Prospect. Though the offer of somewhere dry to keep you bikes beforehand is still there.

MA3K OK route update:
Meet Prospect of Whitbey (E1W3SJ) from 8-9 O'clock on Saturday 30th.
Set off around 12 through the Rotherhithe tunnel EDIT(NO tunnel) and then back onto this route : 30th Night Ride - 'The Bridges'
How does that sound to everyone?few kwestchonz
1.on that map it looks like the ride starts just south of tower bridge... but we still meeting in wapping?
So are we riding south over tower bridge, then turning round and coming back over tower bridge the other way?
(There's a nice pub on tooley st here if people fancy starting on
the "correct" side of the river.
Just a suggestion. I personally don't mind meeting at the Prospect at all. Never been there and it
looks all historical like.If it's raining are we could do a shorter route - say from vauxhaul we could head into town for a drink etc
Perhaps at each bridge we could stop and gather for a sprint race over the length of it! Bridge racing could be
well fun!
Ooh i'm all excited now!

When I did the original route I didn't know we would be meeting at P.O.W.
I suggested we go throught the Rotherhithe tunnel to correct this. (silly I know - was shouted down promptly)
But the route works best starting at the South side of Tower Bridge.
So I suggest crossing Tower Bridge twice.I like that bridge race idea BTW.
