They could've just paid for it themselves like everybody else.
£1.4bn as assessed by whom? And of that how much filters into the economy, not China, Taiwan etc, and has a positive effect on the tax payers who have had to spend for the royal wedding?
I don't really care, but I just feel like 2 super rich families could pay for a dress and a bit of cake.
