Erm, he's on your forum, I'm sure you can just click the "Change Personal Information" tab on his profile, view his email address and google it to find out who he is (if it's not revealing enough alone).

Frankly I'm bored with the elitism. It happens in all scenes, whether we're talking music scenes, film buffs, sports, there's always going to be someone thinking that they're above someone else and wanting to display that by using what means they have to exclude others. This isn't entirely a bad thing in the case of alley cats, if the view was from a safety perspective or something, but to exclude on the basis of past or current profession alone is pretty dumb. And there we have it, one guy organises a race, makes himself appear to be dumb in the process... and life goes on and we all ride bikes. Who cares? Besides, I'm sure any fakengers who really wanted to ride could just say they worked for a few days at such and such a place several years ago, and just blag through the bullshit.

That's daft! I haven't worked for getting on for 20 years, but I'd be eligible!! I can't find my way around half the time, all the roads have changed....

Have you read the MT forum on why? Makes sense... but is a bit silly, as someone says on the forum - it should be open to all but prizes should be restricted, if the sole reasoning is that the prizes are courier only.

Why should anybody other than couriers be eligible for courier races? Face it, that is what Alley Cats have always been.
I raced in them when I was on the road, and now that I am off it I believe I should leave the glory and exertion to those that live it day-in and day-out.
By all means come and watch but leave the Alley Cats to whom they belong and those that have built it: the couriers.

back to the point at hand,what is it about 'fakengers' that messengers dont like? and what would the problem be if non-messengers attended an alley cat,it cant be because the non-messenger would win and its not like the non-messenger would get in the way of the 'real' messenger,well maybe at the start but not for long.considering the amount of money that non-messengers/fakengers/look-a-likes/wannabees have to pay to attend one of these oh so special events, i would have thought that they would be encouraged to waste their money.....its shit and quite immature

alley cats should be for messengers..........that is it., sorry but it started with them..... and we don't want people like lpg, beating them , now do we.....;^)
