Yeah forget free work from working designers. Good opportunity or students/graduates though.

Is it like a creative director?
no. they will be in a restaurant phoning the art director.
or they will turn up at the end of the shoot and suggest a nice restaurant. -

I can't do the design part, but if you arrive at a juncture where you need more writing staff…

Whats an art director?
somebody who tells a photographer what to shoot and changes things until they are happy, either that or they sit in the corner looking at facebook on their laptop and occasionally look up and say "yes that will do".
^ Pretty much on the money...

Got loads of print to get out the door first though.
Chuck me a pm or something.

Excellent! Very funny and pretty much on the money MrSmyth.
Crispin G in advertising agencies the people that come up with the ideas for ads, visual/headline if it's print/poster/etc or visual interpretation/script if it's film (telly or more commonly these days online) are generally known as 'creatives' and they'll either be an art director or a copywriter. The art director is pretty much responsible for how something looks and the writer for what it says and what the message is. Art directors and copywriters work together in teams.
The creative director will look after/manage/groom a number of teams within his/her creative department. And eat too much at posh restaurants.

I need a high res picture of a track chainset to help out a friend.
Like this but bigger:
I have UTFS but not clued up on finding (or making) high res versions.
-
• #110
You need google, not a designer
-
• #111
Funnily enough I tried that.
Read where it say HIGH RES.
-
• #113
you can search google for images upto 70 Mega Pixels - no crank sets at that res though
-
• #114
no-one is going to publish high res images for free download - the cost of the bandwidth would be prohibitive. I'm surprised (and impressed) that the forum provided you a 1MB image within 5 hours.
If you need a higher resolution image, then upres the above or you could pay for it...

Someone do this properly, please. I made it in MSPaint and picked Comic Sans on purpose so one of your kind has a meltdown and is forced to sort it out...

If your planning on using it to tamper with ones already on vehicles leave the HGV ones intact?
-
• #119
Is that a statement or a question?
-
• #120
Bit of both
are you planning on using it to tamper with ones already on vehicles? If so leave the HGV ones intact as they aren't as redundant as the ones on vans etc -
• #121
I wasn't planning on doing anything with them. I'm far too respectful of the law to 'tamper' with anyone else's property.

Now do just the cool bit and in a format that someone can have stickers printed from...

Cool beans, i would have hated to see the article headline "Cyclist killed due to vandalism" as it seems to be any excuse and the driver get off light

One would need to know the correct colour and point size.
