Just got this, from London Fields Cycles.
They're stocking some of the 'old' sets, and strangely last pair, in Pewter (32hls), doesn't match!(?)... well 2 different shades of 'pewter', even though I told them the rear must be grey, they just had wrongly tagged as Pewter. Anyway, this mis-match with the color made these cost £120, BNIP.
Love it, really well made. -
• #57
the colour is supposed to be pewter, they do fade in the sun
still good hubs at a good price though. -
• #58
^Trudat, by trying to remove the price stickers, i slightly scrubbed off some color from the flanges... shitty anodized no?..

How much did you pay for them nunkow?

Managed to bag myself a set of pewter goldtecs at the Herne hill jumble today, it seems they have a bit of a problem getting the pewter right these ones don't match either. Does anyone have any idea what Betd are like with spare parts? I think they might be 130mm spaced on the rear. Will have to send an email over.

Spoke to betd today, nice people. Got a re-space kit for the rear for £20 and nuts & washers for the front for £10
just hope it's not too tricky to re-space them?

I've read the stuff on the 1st page about fitting cogs, blah, blah, blah...pushing it in, etc... not really feeling i'm getting anywhere... Tried EAI and Miche, both failed after half turn.
CAn someone PLEASE care to assist me on this? Which make of cogs will fit these fuckers!?
Flease?MC_Tiesto already answered (partially) my question... i'm still not progressing with this, don't think I should force this much
-
• #68
EAI works fine for me as does duraace
-
• #69
Fuck my skills... EAI will be, either way I'll fit this mother!
-
• #70
when i first got mine, i had to re-thread the cog (EAI) on, half a turn at a time, then back a quarter, not sure if it's because of the annodising.
lock ring (DA) was fine though. -
• #71
lockring went perfect (DA), EAI is a bitch to go in....already fucked my knuckles twice hitting the spokes.
not happy -
• #72
grease the threads
-
• #73
it might just be an odd batch of thicker annodising.
force it on :)*disclaimer - if it buggers up, don't blame me.
-
• #74
i need unicorn love juice to lub this
-
• #75
It's getting there, half in, half out, loads of sweat, busted knuckles and Michelin grease!
happy now
Took me a while to realize that Betd is actually this Betd!
