Let me know if you want some nicer routes or if username is apt then some proper enduro too.

My new 1030 Plus is rad. 24hr and still heaps of battery life left in it.
This got me curious but then I found out that these are >£500.
I'll stick with my Bolt for the time being..

Yeah, the pricing is stupid but I'm too deep into Garmin bullshit to back out now.
I think mine was 350 with the busted 1000 trade-in and it meant the missus got my old 1030 which still has decent battery life, unlike her Wahoo -

Seems pretty fair considering the big wahoo is £300 now.
My OG Elemnt died of lack of battery after 5 years or so, I cheaped out and got a Bolt for £225.

Does it? I can buy a £300 waterproof smartphone that does a shitload more than the Garmin. That's what I'm comparing it with, not so much other bike-specific GPS devices.

Yeah, it's nuts overall but kind of fair in the context of the weird microcosm of bike specific gizmos.

thanks bud, back now but aware that we only scratched the surface of the rides out there. Have posted on a separate Girona thread if easier

Garmin and Wahoo are going the way of Polaroid and Kodak - it's only a matter of time!

I think I still have a Kodak camera and a Walkman. OG Retro (where OG just means old guy)

When I turn off my Elemnt (first version) when away from wifi it takes ages to shut down, and displays “installing” on the screen. Yet when I check it, it says it is up to date.
It also seems to spend a lot longer than before “warming up” on start up.
Would a factory reset fix this? -
• #2462
Crazy that I completely forgot about Walkman, given how massive they were at the time.
-
• #2463
I also have a Discman somewhere and an Atari 2600. Hoarder + retrogrouch in some senses but also bleeding edge technohead. Very odd combo. I put it down to liking inner turmoil.

My OG Wahoo doesn't load routes. I can select them on the device and it says loading route, but when I click ROUTE again to see details, it's back to the screen where you can select routes.
Any ideas? New update messed it up?

My Roam did this once, restarting it at home with a WiFi connection fixed it for me.

Thanks, my other half borrowed it for the weekend and it didn't work! Testing at home (with wifi) and still no luck. However a reset by holding down the power for 10sec seemed to do the trick.

does anyone make a wrist HRM that can connect to wahoo/garmin with bluetooth?
-
• #2468
Scosche Rhythm+ 2.0? More forearm than wrist but transmits both ANT+ and Bluetooth.

Help. Unless I'm missing something I can't download the routes from Komoot unless I pay for the region. My girlfriend is using my Wahoo at this event and leaving tomorrow am.
Could anyone download the routes and send me them as a gpx please?
It really pisses me off that Komoot sponsor every event but you can't simply download a gpx.

If you enter an event that says GPX will be provided and a GPX isn't provided because of Komoot being shit, I wonder how far you could take it? Maybe they'd start to listen and stop pissing about with the Download button?

Yup. Joke.
Organisers shouldn't lock a route into the software. If you've paid for a damn event they should email you a gpx.
That's fucked. Something is definitely wrong with it. Maybe the cell is bad. Tried replacing it with a new battery? Also, you could exchange the 820 for a 1030+. I sent them in my 1000 with broken power button and they gave me a trade-in discount. Or some come up on ebay.
