Only one Wahoo seller in Vilnius - and he hasn't got any Elemnts in stock.
Continue my riding with one pod in the ear with Komoot voice navigation - which isn't to bad, when you have a draft of the route in the head. Only 800k left.

Was having a weird issue with my Elemnt Bolt whereby I would update a route on RideWithGPS (for example), select the new route on the app on my phone, but the unit would load the old version of the route.
It happened a few times in the last few weeks, and I've tried everything I can think of to remove the Bolt's "memory" of the old route.
I finally caved and used chat on the Wahoo site to ask for help. They got back to me within 30 seconds to say it's a known bug, and ask me to send in my device logs to help fix it.
I won't hold my breath for an immediate fix, but I was impressed with how their CS team knew what was going on and seemed keen to resolve it. An entirely different experience than what I've had from Garmin CS in the past.

You mean that they know their product is shit and havenβt fixed it yet... ;)

Haha, that's one way of looking at it! One step better than Garmin, though!

Anyone followed an 600km route on wahoo element before?

Anyone followed an 600km route on wahoo element before
Yes
-
• #1108
Couldn't you name it as something else?
-
• #1109
Yeah, I do. Sadly it's the same problem. New route name on the app, old route and route name on the unit!

Have just bought a sigma Rox 12 on the basis of the DC rainmaker review - looks really good, will report back!

Maybe a dumb question, but:
What the hell ist the blue βmountβ thing that comes with the element bolt for?!? -
• #1112
I have 922km on the Wahoo, work fine.

RWGPS email is a bit annoying :o(
Unclear what will be left for free seems basic will become pointless!? -
• #1114
Like I said in the TCR thread, Β£20/year is the equiv of a hotel breakfast. You get a shitload of functionality for your money.
-
• #1115
I'm a free user at present, from my perspective the middle basic package seems somewhat pointless now. Effectively making it Β£80 a year. That's not bad value if it works well, or has significant advantages over other alternatives.
I'm surprised, they haven't been bought by one of the bigger companies. -

So, you've got how much benefit from their software for free? Now you have to pay.
Their servers aren't free. Their time isn't free. I'm sure there are other services out there that are free if you don't like their pricing model. -
• #1117
Sounds like I missed an email. RWGPS is no longer free? Effective immediately?
-
• #1118
I didn't get the email either, would be helpful if someone could post it.
In other news, my Garmin swim died today. The face fogged up, the screen became covered in strange lines and it's become unresponsive. Now it's dead and has water inside the screen.
Sending it back for a refund and can't wait for my life to be free of shitty Garmins. It's a swim watch, it had one job!!

There's 3 tiers of account, though, right? I've never paid anything, so I'm pretty sure I have the "starter" account. Sounds like I'll only be losing the ability to add POI and custom cuesheets. I've used POI a few times, but not enough to justify the subscription fee for me.
-
• #1121
It also says if you already have Basic you'll retain the features? So there's no change for me?
-
• #1122
Yeah exactly. Current basic members or people who sign up this week will keep the same features and pay no more. Seems like a pretty fair way to do it - they could have just charged everyone who wanted those features more.

Amey: I can add custom cues, for free?!
1 month later
RWGPS: actually nah
-
• #1124
Damn i really need to RTFE. Panic upgraded to premium before the price rose in an attempt to be clever.

Does anyone know if there's a character limit on the custom cues when porting to the wahoo?
Does it limit the characters, scroll through if the cue is long, or not show the remaining cue on the unit?Thinking of giving myself some light reading.
@andyp might know
