I use a 10 year old £10 version of the Axiom SprintAir. It works. It gets me home. I have bigger arms than you though so YMMV.

It looks like this:
I have one in Oz and bought another over here.
I also have one of those Lezyne Road Drives or Pressure Hump Bum Drive or is it the Floor Head Face Pro Squirt Moist Drive? I forget but it also works. It's a bit more fiddly with the hose connector for muppets that can't disconnect a pump properly.

Topeak Morph Turbo
accept no substitutes

Lezyne Road Drives
I was actually looking at those ..

I've been accepting effective substitutes for 20 years now. :P
Topeak valve extenders are in my shit list now too. Fucking plastic threads. Get2FuckWidya

The mini track pump type are really great, topeak or lezyne. I took one of these on tour this year, invaluable.

Those to peak things are utter shite

My mate has one of these we take on bike hols.
Does an amazing job.Seconded

I have roughly 1,000 spare pumps- come to my flat and pick one up.
Also Silca mini-pump is boss.

Anyone tried the birzman velocity? Torn between that and a lezyne mini floor pump, sure the lezyne is easier to use but prob less mobile. This has become urgent after losing my 10yr old pocket rocket in my first foray into off-road this weekend...
Or any other suggestions for a good quality mini pump?

If you look back over the last few pages you'll see a trend of recommendations.
-
• #714
I did look, no-one mentions the birzman (as far as I can see) but it's well reviewed elsewhere.
Otherwise the trend seems to be Lezyne or something very expensive (which looks nice, but very expensive)

I actually went into Sigma to get the Silca Pocket Impero but got Lezyne instead .. the flexible hose system swayed it for me, easy on the valves .. I am sold on Silca if it had a hose though.
Tested Lezyne on the 38mm tyres, works absolutely fine .. 40psi in less than 200 strokes no air loss while taking the hose off.

Just make sure you tighten the valve cores.

The birzman I was looking at has a hose but looks a smaller design, this one:
http://road.cc/content/review/148318-birzman-velocity-apogee-mini-pump
Says it does 160 PSI, which is almost double what I'd ride with, so seems to be fit for purpose. The difficult bit is just deciding if I'll regret not buying the Lezyne mini floor pump instead...
-
• #718
You probably will.

• #719
I understand - I won't darken this thread with any more non-Lezyne queries, I can tell I've done something wrong

Killed my micro rocket earlier because it's a piece of shit.
Replacement pump suggestions/recommendations please -
• #721
Anything with a hose attachment
-
• #722
Ok, perhaps I should've stated some more criteria...
Capable of 80+ psi without being a mission and taking ages, fit into brp hip pouch along with other tools, in stock in London for purchase tomorrow. -

Birzman stuff is generally really high quality, that looks decent. The mini floor pump is alright but definitely on the limit of pocket sized.

The mini Lezyne ones are the go to, but as Amey said, anything with a hose attachment. Evans has loads of choice.

.
I did, its all very confusing .. what do you have? I have a crappy specialized pump that I might've used twice with road tyres .. its not great.
