  • Recent films.

    Her fell short of expectation.
Wolf of Wall Street didn't excel in any particular area for me: drama, acting, script, comedy. Would not watch again.
    7 Psychopaths was meh.

  • Anyone seen The Armstrong Lie?
Discussion about it on Radio 4 now

Its out in the cinema friday, really looking forward to it.

  • A place beyond the pines is a bit long feeling. Like, really fucking long feeling.

Yep I felt the same, it really lost it's way about half way in then went off on one for ages. Looked nice though.

  • Last Vegas ZZzzzzz.....

  • Patton

Watched as a sort of compare / contrast type thing against 12yrs a slave. Being that both Oscar winners? historical, biographical, emotive subject and set inside a bigger subject matter.

One thing I noticed straight away, like reviewing i'm also no good at compare / contrast.

George C Scott is great, really great, all the emotions hit perfectly. Supporting cast, direction and big shots also really good.

Hard to call a winner but Patton does it for me.

  • Patton (Lust for Glory) the Eighties film? I remember that, thought it was very good - George C Scott excellent

  • Now you see me (or us?) was pretty bad. The Facebook kid is pretty annoying. Was he born smug?

  • Just to clarify. I meant the film looked nice, he can avoid cereal all day, unless he grows a vajayjay I ain't interested.

  • I should have listened to you all. I watched 'Olny God forgives'. Worst film I have seen a very long time (that is including Step Up 2). About 10minutes of storyline in 90minutes of bouring fuck all happening neon wank. It wasnt art house it was shit house.

  • In a World... In a word, hilarious...

  • I came to that film cold, never heard of anyone involved except Kirsten Scott Thomas, never heard any hype and it knocked me sideways.

  • In a World is great isn't it? Love Fred Melamed in it!

  • That's been sat on my PC for ages unwatched.

It's worth a watch for the lolz in my humble opinion.

  • Wall of Wolf Street

I enjoyed this a lot, thought the final 3rd could have done with being a bit snappier, and the ending was a bit of a damp queef, but other than that it was 2.5 riotous hours, will rewatch on DVD, also I <3 Leo, even when he's portraying a dickhead

    8/10
