University Teaser - Pony - YouTube[/ame]i love pixar films (apart from cars 2), and i'll be happy to give this a chance, but i hope they don't stop writing great story lines and just start doing prequels and squeals.

I was using this meme earlier, and my girlfriend asked me if I had seen the film (I haven't), so she's banned me from using that image until I've seen the film, about to start it!

I saw Prometheus last week. I quite like the way that Ridders portrays scale in all his films, but can't help thinking that it was all a bit "gong and no dinner".
Idris Elba is one of my favourite actors (and quite a good dj as well) but his attempts at an American accent were as good as that of Lewis Hamilton. Charlize Theron has had her moment (in Monster) and should probably stick to less challenging roles such as this one. Meryl Streep she's not.
I think we have much, much more to see of Noomi Rapace and I think that she has way more to offer a more challenging role in the future.
Managed to see Prometheus twice in two days one on bog standard screen and one on IMAX. IMAX way bettter but that's hardly news..
Idris Elbas' acent though - wtf? I've seen him do far better ones in the past in different films.
For me the cast was really interesting but I didn't see any of them really sparkle. Rafe Spall and benedict Wong for example are so good but in this the script probably doesn't give them much scope really and I was slightly sad not to see them shine. Liked Fassbender in it though. Very (and necessarily) understated performance. Nice walking too.

Benedict Wong really does have the market sown up in appearing in Sci Fi and not doing much

Why was this made?
I think it was some sort of sociological experiment simply made to see if people would actually go and pay money to watch a film about something as absurd as Abraham Lincoln killing vampires

I'm going to AL:VH on Sunday, is it really shit?
Don't care about absurdity, I'm checking my brain in at the door. -

Big screen remastered Jaws is really amazing (presuming most of us where not around to enjoy it the first time round) and the in camera shark special effects are amazing even by today standards.

I've seen it around 100 times. Still an incredible film.
I miss beers at lunchtime with Roy Scheider.
