  • Watched Herzog's Into the Abyss tonight. A harrowing and tragic story. Several parts reminded of different videos from the epic fail thread...especially Texan's love for guns and weapons. Wow, and what can one say about rainbows...she had a witness...

Channel 4 has a documentary that appears to reference this on now, Death Row.

  • Pirates is a bit underwhelming. Wish I see it in 3D, the animation was superb, and I enjoyed watching, but it lacked the Aardman magic I was expecting.

Completely and utterly this. Chicken Run was so much better. From the plot to the script - even though it had that anti-semite shithouse Mel Gibson in it.

I heard that Nick Park wasn't involved in Pirates, it was mainly the other fella from Aardman.

  • Re-watching Inception today.

  • Bagdad Cafe also known as Out of Rosenheim - One of my favourite films, with a haunting and memorable theme song.
Jack Palance was an inspired choice for the weird love-interest side-story. Brilliant little film.

That would explain a lot. Want to watch the wrong trousers now. Now that is an incredible piece of film.

  • Muppets was good, bret has done well with songs

  • watched Hugo last night.

    yawn.

  • yep Hugo was dull as hell

  • Bill Cunningham New York
Saw this at hackney picture house.
Great cinema. Excellent film about the street fashion photographer who rode around NY on his Shwinn bicycle taking photos

  • ^ just watched it too. great man, great work, great film. What they do with carnegie hall and their tenants pisses me off no end

  • Agree kboy classic capitalist bullshit that removes humanity from commerce. The thought of those amazing spaces being turned into...
    ...call centres!!
    Grrrr

  • A really nice cycling short here with Timothy Spall. Quite touching.

I will be seeing this. I'm laughing already.
    .

But Bobcat Goldthwait gives it extra internet points.

    this

  • ^^^ Looks pretty good. Super was a good film too. Love a good dark comedy.

  • These game/movie links are getting quite popular aren't they.
Apparently they're making monopoly soon with a director called Ridley Scott
I think he's quite famous for another film although not sure which one it was?

  • He did that one where something comes out the bloke's stomach, the film version of the 'Operation' board game.

  • Went to see Battleships last night, far fetched is probably understatement of the year.
    Hunger games was over rated
21 jump st was ok, but hyped again too much
and wrath of the titans was average, passed the time on sunday.

Looking forward to seeing Cabin in the woods tomorrow, its getting some really good write ups!

    Thelma & Louise.

    ...

I saw Super over the weekend I did like it.

But Bobcat Goldthwait gives it extra internet points.

True, but he will always be Zed for me. Which is so slightly annoying.

  • Zeds dead baby, Zeds dead

  • 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' - I was dreading this film, but I wanted to see it. Though I hadn't read the book, I had a good idea about the story so was a little switched off to it. But actually it is really good.

'The Hunter' - Willam Dafoe's film about a hunter hired to catch a Tazmanian Tiger. I really liked this.

'The Cold Light of Day' - Was okay, a bit predictable. Good to see Sigourney wielding a machine gun again after so long. Willis is in it but only in a supporting capacity this one is all about the young 'un - shame he isn't such a good actor. I don't even know his name.

'Catch 44' - Another Willis movie - again a bit part. But this one is saved in the sense that is only 84 minutes long and Malin Ackerman is in it. Ok Forrest Whittaker is also in it and he is probably the real highlight.A bit meh to be honest.

Re-watched a whole bunch off films over the bank holiday including Inception and Drive. I want to see Headhiunters - the minute I say its swedish and subtitled no one want to go. So I will be cringing through Battleship tonight. Rihanna best be good!

  • Thelma & Louise.
