  • I can tell Eric and Ol if you want!

  • Please do.Eric less so. He's always happy to put his name to shit. But Oliver is better, shirley?

Ask Oliver how he went from directing The Importance of Being Earnest (which I think is great and has some of the funniest scenes of the last decade) to THAT absolute WANK.

  • I retract the last comment re. Felner - I confused him for a second with Bevan - see "The Guru".

Definitely question Oliver Parker's intentions on this though.

  • Lets not forget St trinians 1 and 2 and Dorian Grey!

Eric has some some truly awful films. (Bridget Jones 2) Worst film every made directed by my mothers ex best friend. Eric was better when we worked with my mumma.

    Not Biased or Bitter

  • Also Hippie Hippie Shake which is so bad that they cant release it. Also directed by Kidron

  • I despair.

  • lets continue this rant at bodeans if you are going

  • Aye. Friday?

  • fo sho.

  • I'll save up the venom.

  • im biting a clingfilmed cup already

  • The Descendants was a big disappointment. Had a few bits that made me smile but average in every other way. I still cannot believe it has been nominated for an Oscar while 50/50 got over looked.

Shame on the other hand was mesmerizing and left me thinking about it continually after it had finished. I think it may have broached my top 5 (serious) films list.

  • People, drop everything and watch The Artist.

Brixton's Rizty made the experiences even better.

  • jesus christ - how do you do a strikethrough?

    [ s] whateveryouwantstruck [/ s]

but obviously sans spaces, i think you can use [strike] too

  • aha - [ rather than < which is what I use in notepad ++

  • Was that by credit card? You'll want to check it's not cancelled as suspected suspicious activity
    Thought you were joking:

[*]Your Play.com order requires an additional security check‏

  • Fixed now. That would have been gutting.

  • I went to see 'The Artist' tonight, as everyone else says it was thoroughly enjoyable. I wont re-hash what has already been said about it's qualities; but I would like to add the following things.
First the lighting and cinematography (and set/prop design to a lesser degree, for me at least) were excellent. They really helped place the piece in time, some of the shots and camera angles used were so timeless, they made it for me.
Secondly the amount of cameo's, some great character actors popped up; Beth Grant, Ed Lauter, Joel Murray & Malcolm McDowell to name a few. I was always pleasantly surprised to see a face I knew.

Also was anyone else struck by how much Bérénice Bejo looks like another actress? I can't quite put my finger on who, but I know its someone i recognise. At times I thought it was Olivia Wilde, but then she'd turn her face and it'd be some one new.

Lastly Jean Dujardin needs to met up Jon Hamm for an epic 'Worlds most dashing man' contest and then they need to get up to some old fashioned handsome men antics! *

  • Oh and dancing normally bores the pants off me (with the exception of this
) but its really was fascinating to watch in this film.

  • Great slacks.

  • The best dancing on film ever. FACT!

  • Imagine if you and friend could just bust out "moses susposes' in 'da club.
