  • Is that Shannon Doherty? Well shit, yeah

  • One and only time I've walked out of a cinema was 'Independence Day'

    Awful, absolutely awful stuff...

i was 9 when it came out, seemed good to me then. maybe i should rewatch it...

  • Oh ive rewatched it frequently and It is a superb film.

I almost walked out of Johnny English 2 yesterday, dire, just dire

  • i was 9 when i came out, seemed good to me then. maybe i should rewatch it...

very brave of you. kids can be so cruel at that age.

  • ahahahahahaha i'm weeping what a mistake'a to make'a

  • I want to go and see tintin.

  • Has anyone seen "We need to talk about Kevin" yet? Last few films I've seen at the cinema have been fairly dark and this one is supposed to be too I think!
I enjoyed the film though it is harrowing. Best movie I've seen for ages mainly because Tilda Swinton is so wonderful (when is she not?).

Lots of creepy suspense in the build up to its climax.

Thought the boy Kevin was an odd casting decision though.

James' chief complaint was that there weren't enough answers/explanations and thus he found it implausible.

  • holy fuck why did i put off watching 'Buried' for so long!? what a great film

  • One and only time I've walked out of a cinema was 'Independence Day'

    Awful, absolutely awful stuff...

Only ever walked out of one film in my life

Harley Davidson and the Marlborough Man.. (I have a cold sweat just thinking how bad it was)

Anyway.. Day off today and will go and See Ides of March this afternoon.

  • went to see paranormal activity 3, loved it recommended for halloween. only downside is that they refused to let me bring in my tesco own brand crisps gutted

    Tilda Swinton is ace, fact.

I never read the book but I thought the boy Kevin was pretty good even though he pretty much just had the same facial expression the whole time. I liked the fact that there were loose ends, but each to their own I suppose!

    tl;dr

still want to go anyway... fuck original tintin, I want some avatar shit.

  • the human centipede 2 is savage.

i meant really sick and twisted.

  • Does it actually show some gore this time? I the first film the most gore you got to see was a tiny amount of puss.

Load of pretentious posturing; Pseud's Corner material (the review, not the film).

"Their characters, from melancholic and explosive Captain Haddock to proud and fiery General Alcazar to the vain and affected opera diva Bianca Castafiore, rival any dreamt up by Flaubert or Dickens for sheer strength and depth of personality."

    I rest my case.

  • One and only time I've walked out of a cinema was 'Independence Day'

me too actually. appalling, especially considering when it was being written (as ID4) it was intended to be based on Area 51 and a semi-fact based look at the Majestic project, but was thrown out by studio bosses and re-written god knows how many times....

  • walked out of The Eagle a few months back - went back to a lonely hotel room and had a wank instead - much better

  • Watching Ginger Snaps Unleashed, its better than the first.

  • Should I go and see Tintin?

I've seen loads of reviews along the lines of "If you grew up reading the books, this film will annoy your tits off."

    Saw Tintin yesterday. Ace.

It's no oscar contender for plot or twists but it's properly fun and really well animated.

  • Had to watch Contagion sunday, shoulda watched Tintin

  • For Halloween I watched:

with the family and kids while gorging on trick-or-treat sweets, then after we popped the little 'uns to bed I watched:

    With a bottle of red.

    Top drawer stuff!

I refer you back to my post from two weeks ago:

Watched a screening of Contagion last week.

    ....meh.

Not like I didn't warn people

  • i re-watched 'district 9' last night, brilliant sci-fi. watch it if you haven't already, amazing to think they only spent $30m on it

  • They spent that much one it? It's a good film though.
