Just watched Primer. Low budget film about time travel and the consequences, worth spending the hour but it gets really confusing at the end.

Sorry if this is a dickhead thing to do but...does dickhead thing anyway...I haven't been paid before my ride for Cancer Research and just trying to raise a bit of dollar for camping, etc before. If anyone wants any of this lot, gimme a shout.
This is all going to the 'Get Jess to Berlin Fund' seeing as the council don't want to pay me for two terms worth of work.

Bruce Willis is solving something terribly life-threatening at the moment, he's got a film of sweat on that rugged forehead, on some terrestrial channel right now, sorry I can't be more specific

any catch O Horten on film4 the other night? A quietly funny and odd Norwegian film about a train driver retiring, worth watching if its on again mid week.

I can't easily search this thread (got misc on ignore), so sorry if repost.
I saw 'Greenberg' the other night. Really good, particularly if you're old enough to relate to 30-40something / mentalist issues. Same director as 'The Squid & The Whale', so a similar feel, but I thought this was better. Possibly Ben Stiller's best performance to date (I know Zoolander's great, but this is 'like proper acting and shit').
Not an A-to-B type of film, so don't bother if you're a plot junkie.

I seriously don't want to have to put one of my favourite threads on ignore. Le sigh. I'd love to know how people work out points, there's some good films way below some tripe up there.
Always good to hear other people's opinions anyway BMMF - I wanted to see Greenberg but prioritised other films over it because I heard some bad reviews. Will add it to my Love Film now definitely. Housemate coerced me into getting The Runaways for him (swore it wasn't to perv), finally watched it and found it lacked real 'oomph' compared to other band biopics, didn't really go into much depth, played the same song over and focused far too much on Cherie - I know this was an issue in the band but Kristen Stewart as Joan was absolutely brilliant, she really nailed the little nuances of an awkward and talented teen trying to be a rock chick. I completely ignored Twihard but will be really interested to see how she does in 'On The Road' if they don't completely fuck it up.
Film watching has been down as of late now I actually have to pay to go to the cinema! :(

GUIDO! -

watched Tim Roths "War Zone"
strewth, pretty good and also very shocking -

I saw 'Marwencol' on Sunday night, and really enjoyed it. Quite unusual subject matter, handled sensitively and whilst it's something of a cliche to say it, it was definitely very 'thought-provoking'.
Also essential viewing if, like me you used to love Action Man / action figure toys! ;-)
Next on my list: Restrepo

5 is quite a bad film that I would not watch again but still had some effort put into it
or some quality moments.
I rate movies 1 or 2 if they become a painful experience, are plain stupid or completely
fail in other ways as a successful film.bottom end of my list are:
2001: A Space Travesty
Freak Orlando
The Doors
The Gore Gore Girls
Heavy Metal 2000
Casshern
EndhiranPopeye Hercules in New York The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring The Last Airbender Armageddon Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Blade II Return to Sleepaway Camp Cyclops The Immortal Voyage of Captain Drake Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot Bordello of Blood Infected Stay Hungry Jaws: The Revenge 54 Look Who's Talking Junior New York Minute D-War Shut The Karate Kid, Part III The Lawnmower Man Immortel Hudson Hawk The Happening Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace Wanted Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith Independence Day Pearl Harbor The Matrix Revolutions The Day After Tomorrow Unbreakable The Constant Gardener Beowulf Hostel Blade: Trinity Jumanji Speed Racer Gigli Ink Kindergarten Cop
