  • Kneecap

More people need to see this!

  • It's a lot of fun.

  • I didn’t like the way it ended personally

  • Kneecap; best subtitles EVER!

    Brilliant film!

  • Enjoyed Scrapper last night. Bit slow at times but ultimately found it endearing

Described by someone on Letterboxd as if aftersun and the florida project had a cute little baby

  • just watched kneecap after the recommendations upthread, great music, great story

    great film

  • Really enjoyed The Substance, very very funny. Quite the ride!

  • I implore anyone who enjoyed The Substance to watch Society if you haven't already.

  • The ending look really felt like an homage to Society to me.

  • Wild Robot. V good kid friendly film animation is wonderful on it too.

  • Got that up next for me looking forward to it

  • Heard so many good things. MIL took my 7yo to see it and I’m annoyed now as I want to see it!

The Substance easily best film of the year. Wildly enjoyable.

  • Wild robot is just such lovely easy watching. If you get a lazy Sunday afternoon to yourself it's perfect . Looking forward to the substance 👍

  • Rewatched Point Break the other night (the original, not the remake). Forgot how incredible it is, both moments of legit excellence and insane cheese.

10/10 would watch keanu drop kick a dog again.

  • Oh and watched A Field in England last night. Lots of people told me it was shite so I wasn’t expecting much from it, mostly chose it because of the short run time. Was pleasantly surprised.

  • Watched the latest Paddington, was disappointed.

It was ok but didn't have the charm of its predecessors. Could have been any generic kids character.

  • Did you go to the cinema to see the 4k restoration? I'm tempted.
Also didn't know there was a remake...

  • The Substance easily best film of the year.

It's not easily if you haven't watched Kneecap, but they're both very good.

  • The Substance, just wow. Thought it was fantastic but maybe half an hour too long, OH couldn't handle the end of the movie, I told her she wouldn't be able to handle Society if she couldn't manage that.

  • Although The Substance' message falls a little flat what with the constant close ups for the Male gaze

  • Kneecap is on BFI rental for £16. That seems quite steep. I think previously been £10 for current releases. I also wish BFI did discounts, even small ones, on the rental cost for subscribers. Although I guess the argument is you subscribe to get free access to subscription only.

  • The arse close ups? There were a lot of them, weren't there? I loved the tone, the photography and the art direction, very stylised and claustrophobic. It felt like a student film, in a good way, amazing that it's a mainstream release.

  • The arse close ups indeed!

  • Did you see the Kubrik influence? The long hallway carpet at the studio? The lobby with the numbered lockers and geometric floor patten etc. Plus more
