  • The Three Musketeers (the one with Ollie Reed)
    American Werewolf in London
Am I the only person who liked A Knight's Tale?

  • yes :)

ollie reed in The Devils was bosting

  • Great show on BBC 4 just reminded me of one of the best films I ever saw at the cinema:

The full, uncut version of Das Boot.

I needed councelling after that epic, I can tell you.

    10/10

And 'They Live' was awesome. Cheap, cheesy, mad, and incredibly chilling and thought provoking.

Knights Tale would have been fucking awful if it hadn't been for Heath Ledger. Everything about the film reeked of piss...

but I grudgingly admit to having sort of enjoyed it.

I remember watching the entire thing as a 10 year old and being in tears at the end.

  • Yeah! It was dubbed and serialised at a tea time, mid week.

    How mental was that?

Exactly! It's by no means a great film, but I couldn't help enjoying it in spite of all that.

  • I watched it in all in an evening whilst my parents were having a dinner party. i remember asking my dad why they all had to die after the got home safely

I hope your dad slapped you, and with strong booze on his breath snarled, "Because that's what war is lad, THAT'S WARRRR!!!!"

I'm dead pleased you saw the series, spotter. I saw a bit of the series on telly and it drove me to find the film.

I'm very lucky in that the Museum of Film and Photography is right on my doorstep. It's incredible what films they put on there, and my Das Boot-athon was one of me greatest and most harrowing life experiences.

  • You're in Bradford?

great film, one of the very best schlocky 80's horrors - genuinely creepy in parts

My absolute favourite performance of his. I remember watching Kelly's Heroes when I was about 8 and thinking, due in no small part to Sgt. Oddball - 'this is why I'm here'.

  • Honestly... Nazi's. Treasure. Renegade soldiers stealing tanks. All the soldiers are either drunk or high.

    It's perfect.

  • AND Clint Eastwood. AND Telly Savalas. AND tanks that play groovy tunes.

Eating cheese, drinking wine, catching some rays...

  • Clint and Telly go without saying.

At the moment I'm working on DVD 'back catalogues'.

    By actor-

    Tom Cruise: Completed.
    Jason Schwartzman: Completed
    Nicholas Cage: Completed
    Will Smith: Completed
and best of all - though it's taken me several years:
    Clint: Completed*

*Doesn't include Rawhide or his other TV shit - so only about 50, but still..

I admire your dedication to be able to sit through the utter shite that those 2 have appeared in.

  • Not dedication.

    That's love.
