And 'They Live' was awesome. Cheap, cheesy, mad, and incredibly chilling and thought provoking.

Yeah! It was dubbed and serialised at a tea time, mid week.

Exactly! It's by no means a great film, but I couldn't help enjoying it in spite of all that.

I'm dead pleased you saw the series, spotter. I saw a bit of the series on telly and it drove me to find the film.

I'm very lucky in that the Museum of Film and Photography is right on my doorstep. It's incredible what films they put on there, and my Das Boot-athon was one of me greatest and most harrowing life experiences.

great film, one of the very best schlocky 80's horrors - genuinely creepy in parts

My absolute favourite performance of his. I remember watching Kelly's Heroes when I was about 8 and thinking, due in no small part to Sgt. Oddball - 'this is why I'm here'.

Honestly... Nazi's. Treasure. Renegade soldiers stealing tanks. All the soldiers are either drunk or high.

It's perfect.

AND Clint Eastwood. AND Telly Savalas. AND tanks that play groovy tunes.

Eating cheese, drinking wine, catching some rays...
