  • Talking of Nicolas Cage ^ Drive Angry was on tv at midday today, I’ve never seen it so recorded for later.

  • Color out of Space, loved it, an excellent way to spend 2 hrs on a Saturday night.

  • Did the Fantastic Beasts films now onto Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
7 more movies, 7 more Sundays then it's Christmas.

  • once your done with COOS, be sure to fire up THE VOID from 2017, it's got it all. Blood! Guts! Monsters! Cosmic mindfuckery! Hipster triangles!

    top tier stuff.

  • Watched The Handmaden the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it

  • I REALLY want to watch The Void. My wife is strongly vetoing it. I know I can watch it alone but I feel like I want back up. 😆

  • it's free on the amozon primez atm... get involved.

  • The Void is good fun

  • Drive Crazy - Nicolas Cage gory grindhouse type thing, a bad movie that’s fun and entertaining.

Also watched They Live - low budget b movie feel and bad acting but despite that it’s got a lot going for it - fun and interesting.

  • They Live is required watching for anyone trying to make sense of the past 4 years.

    RIPRRP

  • I watched The Void last night. I feel like they used their SFX budget in about 8 minutes of the movie and the rest was a bit slow but it was still good fun.

  • I am suffering with the worst cold in years, need something shit to watch tonight, Birds of prey Harley Quinn movie has been touted by DethWife, is it utter shite?
Or acceptable shit for my half attentive brain?

  • Acceptable shit.

  • My 11 year old liked Stalker after all.

Ha, well good! Well done on expanding horizons. I've not got any kids, but showing them weird films is probably one of the things I'm most excited about, lol.

  • They Live is an absolute banger.

  • Moonlight - what a fantastic film.

watched the swimmer a couple of days ago, the first time i tried to watch it only got the first half hour due to a digi box malfunction, watching it this time round i got such a different impression of the film having watched right to the end, such a contrast between the start and the finish of the film

the first half hour is picture perfect, dreamy, the kind of america you see on the back of cereal packets, or in those 60's sitcoms, white picket fence perfect houses and lawns, the next hour or so sees such a transformation in the main character and his environs it amazed me, i had thought it was just a light fluffy piece on 60's america ? 70's america ?

like falling down, it's a slow decent into madness for burt lancaster, i deleted it too quickly from the digi box after i watched it, i now really want to watch it again see those signs of madness in the first scenes that maybe i didn't pick up the first time round, i'm sure they're there

great film, unnerving, unsettling as you see the main character gradually unravel and expose his true self
    well worth a watch

  • Heat, fuck me - what a film. Had forgotten how good it is, amazing ending too.

  • Just enjoyed the peanut butter falcon.

  • If you want another classic mind bender try Seconds from 1966 with Rock Hudson.

  • Gosh, I saw that about 30 years ago and never meet anyone else who has seen it.

  • He mentioned it himself as he heard about it on I think YouTube? Or maybe he read about the videogame on Reddit who knows 😁

Can't wait until he's old enough for Man Bites Dog.

    He hated Bladerunner though 🤷‍♀️

  • Seconds is a great film, quite thought provoking. Strangely enough, was thinking about it only last week, as a good candidate for a remake.

  • Revenge of the Ninja on Netflix, lots of kartwheels and throwing stars.

  • I am not sure they could get away with that ending these days.
