That poster is incredible. Much want.
We rewatched it recently as well. Nigh on perfect film. And that haunting theme music.

I rewatched True Romance a few weeks ago. So good, the cast is pretty much perfect.

Back in 2014, Steven Soderbergh made a black-and-white, silent cut of Raiders of the Lost Ark, with music by Trent Reznor. It was done as demo to teach film students about staging, but it works really well.

That looks ace.
Might try and source some 420, smoke a banger and settle in to watch that, one of these days.

Tyler Stout is a bit of a divisive artist, but his shit sells out instantly (and some resale prices are insane, his star wars stuff goes for £1000+)
Alternative Movie poster collecting is a hobby of mine, if anyone is mildly interested check out the documentary film 24x36, kick started my interest in them.

The canyon scene from 1:41:15 is perfect in this. In the black and white and with A Familiar Taste playing behind it, it just looks and sounds amazing.

Watched 24x36 and was initially really excited (thinking this might be the equivalent to Helvetica or something of the sort) but it later began to feel more like a promo piece rather than a run through of film poster art. I agree with the sentiment that there is definitely more scope for creative executions of film posters but had a look at Mondo and other sites but felt like pretty much all the films were for Marvel/DC Comics style blockbusters - would be keen to hear of artists that you think are worth a follow. A favourite of mine is MM a.k.a. Emmanuel

Recently seen films
Hounds of Love: harrowing but well executed. There is some interesting questions around whether such films should be made. Another chapter in the book of Australian suburban unease
The Peanut Butter Falcon: light hearted fun...a bit too saccharine for my tastes
Piranhas: more from the people who brought you Gomorrah. I found it compelling.
Greyhound: felt by the numbers
Holiday: deals with similar issues to Hounds of Love and similarly uneasy viewing but well worth a view -

Need to think about ESB, quite collectible even though it’s from the shitty later remaster.
Couple more from around the house, thankfully I can’t read Japanese so don’t have to read Kevin spacey every day

Willing to trade for either
