Ah, that's kinda what you were looking at, guess it doesn't include the whole back catalogue then which is what you're after?
-
• #16353
Yeah it doesn't seem to have that many. I'll keep looking.

Just watched The Lighthouse. Visceral, great acting, lovely to look at (in a way).
A bit skimpy otherwise 6.5/10

Pasolini film Theorem is beautiful, symbolic probably of the effect of Christ / religion on different people.
A comment on class too

Watched dogtooth recently. Recommend

I saw it at the cinema and thought it was great. I can see an argument that it's all atmosphere and aesthetic over anything else though.

That's been on my watchlist for ages, will get round to it eventually. Despite having almost nothing to do at the minute I'm struggling to motivate myself to watch many films really!

What’s the current best download/streaming site for movies? What to watch classics like the Godfather and Braveheart. Sick of Netflix selection.

I use rarbg.to

Film4 used to have an OD pay site but made a mess of it and scrapped it years ago. I think they might be partnering with britbox later this year

Ah cheers. Seems nuts that a film production co wouldn't make their films available to rent. But I'm sure it's more complicated than that.

Too many distributors spoil the broth
You could look at Curzon Home Cinema:
https://www.curzonhomecinema.com/all-films/films/aThe below is costlier as it's a one-off rather than streaming but I've been to some of their events and they're very fun/knowledgeable and I'm happy to support an independent given the circumstances. Their events often have great guests giving talks along with lots of themed set design etc. They're offering a personalised film (they send you a bluray/dvd as part of the package along with some popcorn and a load of pre-film 'stuff' (trailers/artwork/essays etc) and skype you after for a chat: https://www.whitewallcinema.co.uk/homeservice

Ah that Curzon looks good, thanks. I've been using BFI Player a bit but that's my only experience of streaming films on demand really.
Had a yearning to watch The Warrior this weekend and thought a Film4 service might have it. Will keep for another day.White Wall home service sounds like way too much for me! (Attention, not monies)

Kinda felt it was verging on a commercial in places

Last night we watched Taxi (discussed on the previous page - thanks for the recommendation, very good).
Then went a bit left field with Black Cat White Cat. It’s completely bonkers, unique and enjoyable from start to finish.

It's bonkers. Looks great too! Some of the acting is a bit ropey and the beginning drags a bit but stick with it!

Watched about half so far and enjoying it.
They just have them on the All4 channel 4 app, so whatever is your easiest way to access that.
