Highly recommend There will be blood if you've not seen it, or not seen it in a while. The opening twenty/thirty minutes is just stunning

Unrelated I know, it just came to mind

Three Billboards, One of those rare films that me and wifey both loved, it hits every emotion

the shape of water.
looks lovely, rather sweet but silly and probably forgettable.

Not at all: if we're talking about "pace", then There Will Be Blood is right up there.
But yes, the opening scene is astonishingly powerful.

That's a hard hitting double-bill!

14 minutes before any dialogue is heard: immense.

Insidious 4 (the final key)
Not that scary to me, as jumpscares/usual cliches don't work on me, but a few good moments and the lead actress is really good. Nice to see a fully developed non grandma character in a holywood movie too.
Not a "go see it" movie, but I was entertained enough.

Saw "hostiles" and enjoyed it. A film about forgiveness. I wasn't too forgiving as the girl and her boyfriend a few seats away from me pissed everyone off by the constant talking and giggling - they got booted out. That's after a few of us told them to be quiet of go. They got louder

people that do this want a sharpened fucking spoke thru the seat, straight into their lungs. try yakking with a chest cavity filled with blood and mucus you chatty fucks.
add people that bring whiney kids into movies they're clearly not old enough to be watching in the first place to that list.

I wear those earplugs that cut noise and that way I can't hear most of the sweet wrappers rustling.
She even said to the cinema bloke "I'll be good if I can Watch the rest if it"....my wife hates it when I complain. -

Lit phone screens is something I don't like but it's not really on par with noise.
Big bags of crunchy crisps that are sold at odeon don't help...

We've got Light cinema and they sell huge amounts of popcorn in paper bags, nachos and for those desperate coffee, tea and beer@.

The last time I went to a cinema, the guy behind took his shoes off and put his feet up on the back of my seat.
He moved.

Lady Macbeth (2016)
Based on a short story. And feels a bit like it.
Just watch Macbeth (2015) instead, that was really ace.

Call Me By Your Name. Stunning from start to finish. Crossing my fingers for it at the Oscars.

MacBeth (2015) is a real favourite of mine. Watched it a few times.
Went to see 3 billboards last night. Absolute drivel.
The characters are crap, the dialogue is crap, it ruins any atmosphere by making jokes at every opportunity and the story arc is all over the place.I have no clue how this is getting such good reviews, it’s all over the place.
