  • I thought Harley Quin was a great character tho

  • there should have been more Joker/Harley. Less Cara Delevigne.

  • It isn't Deadpool... Nope, not Deadpool...

Don't engage your brain, you'll be fine...

  • Just watched the Twisted Sister documentary on Netflix, fuck, what a story... I had no idea...

  • I've seen it, best superhero movie of the year for sure...

  • ghostbusters v2. anyone that has anything positive to say about this movie has been paid to do so.

  • Watched The Gift last night. Loved it.

  • I've been watching it in 20min bursts (i.e a film not worth my devoted attention) - The only laugh out of me so far was the theatre manager's girly scream :/

  • I really enjoyed it

I enjoyed it - but even so, WTF?!?!?

  • Netflix made film the Siege of Jagdotville... true story set in the 1960's about some Irish UN troops holding out against a shit tonne of mercenaries in the Congo, v.enjoyable stuff, reminded me of Zulu.

  • The project was hugely messed about then got a release based on the tagged-on Cloverfield franchise branding.

I didn't hate it but it feels like half a film and the plot is a bit scooby do.

  • The Children 2008

Pretty fucked up brit horror with Dog Soldiers type charm. It's a bit like an Archers halloween special I guess.

  • Embrace the Serpent

Apocalypse Now without the war? Beautiful, thought provoking. And I enjoyed reading about the real lives of the characters almost more than the film.

  • saw Arrival at the London Film Festival a few weeks back - really great filmmaking, fantastic direction and Amy Adams is very good. The sound design particularly stood out for me.

Denis Villeneuve is fast becoming one of my favourite directors..cue Blade Runner sequel...

  • Nocturnal Animals getting very well reviewed. Looking forward to watching it. Love me some Gyllenhaal.

  • After banging on about Ronin on at least 3 different nights out on my honeymoon (I know, so romantic right?), I finally got my wife to watch it the other night. I'd almost forgotten how much I love it.

  • So you weren't worried about Ronin your honeymoon?

  • I did the same to my partner, when we sat down to watch it I forgot how bad it is. Didn't make it past 30mins. Bloody dull opening, awkward De Niro acting/dialogue and crap accents.

  • It gets better when Sean Bean fucks off. Though you can probably say that about anything he's in.

  • what's the colour of the boathouse at hearford?

  • always happy to see a dan clowes comic book adaptation. let's hope it's better than Art School Confidential. Which was shit.

  • Jurassic Park (in concert) at the Royal Albert Hall last night. Simply brilliant.

Whole lot was great, but sat watching the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra play out the closing credits to a silent and at capacity Royal Albert Hall was spine-tingling.

Fantastic stuff, and the second of these I've watched having gone to a screening of The Godfather last year - will definitely be keeping an eye on what they've got planned for this time in 2017.

Think there's still some tickets left for today and tomorrow's screenings of Jurassic Park if people are interested.
