  • Zootropolis is fantastic.
Secret Life of Pets is mediocre.

  • Secret life of pets wasn't very original but enjoyed.

Violet city: Amazon. Low budget, only 250.000 GBP which you can see in cgi. They had to cut too much so story is a bit gappy.

But holds its own style so if you don't mind the flaws it's worth a watch imho.

  • Saw The Neon Demon tonight.

Fantastic photography and soundtrack. Jena Malone was brilliant.

Story lacks substance though. It's really hard to care about any of the characters.

    Maybe that was intentional?

    7.5/10

  • Just seen it too. Enjoyed.

Wonder if we were in the same cinema.

  • ND available for purchase yet?

    fuck cimenas sky high.

  • Islington vue - 5.30 showing

  • Neon Demon bored the shit out of me. Before now I'd have counted myself as someone who enjoys the intentional style over substance, every character is a tosser schtick as long as it's well done, but tonight I think I found my limit.

    Welcome to Lfgss

  • I got on with it better than I thought I would and it was totally what I expected a NWR film to look like.

Saw Maggie's Plan tonight. A heap of fucking dull dogshit.

  • the hobbit pt 2*

tried watching it on tv last night gave up an hour in
big fan of the book terrible film

    *part 1 equally as tosh

  • Yeah they're awful. But the stabby bits are enjoyable to watch.

  • Session 9 - 2001
Asbestos crew cleaning out former mental hospital goes slowly nuts.

Some flaws in dialogue, cliches101, writing, ending etc. but good cinematography, focus on characters rather than gore and some tense scenes.

Worth a watch if you don't expect perfection.

  • Very creepy and starring Peter Mullen who was the drug dealer in Trainspotting.

  • Five Easy Pieces.

    Masterpiece.

  • YES!

One of my top 5 films of all time.

  • Mullan is in an excellent Paddy Considine film called Tyrannosaur, I think it's on Netflix.

  • Seen that, not bad :)

  • Finally got round to watching The Revenant. I need a drink after that. What a film.

  • Coming out on UHD Blu Ray soon. Will definitely be purchased.

  • Hardcore Henry! Just go and see it - now.
    Thank me later.

  • "Outlaws and Angels", shame it came out the same time, and was over shadowed by the "Hateful 8",
    I actually enjoyed it more.

  • "the cell" It's ok but missing something.

"The fall" (2006) is from the same director and definitely worth a watch if you like visual stories / symbolism / fantasy, reality mixing. The story is better I think.

  • Good to see the original Starwars cast getting together at Comics Con

  • A classic.

    "Live long, and prosper."

  • ^^ is that Roy Batty 1st left?
